I had a wonderful time on the Port Arthur Shuttle and Tasman Sight Tour. Our bus driver David was excellent as well – providing us with his knowledge of Tasmania and sharing personal stories. Everything ran smoothly – each stop and the remaining day that was spent at the Historic Sight. The day was an overall insightful experience.

The driver rang ahead to advise of a slight delay due to rain and heavy traffic. He was informative, helpful and interacted with the passengers. Pick up was around 9am and after all pickup points we were on our way to Port Arthur just after 9.30. After the three 10 min stops, we arrived at our destination soon after midday. The queue to pay was busy and slow moving. We had a quick bite to eat before looking around. But to go to the Remarkable Cave we had to be back at the shuttle bus by 3pm which didn’t give much time to walk around and take in the sights at Port Arthur itself. We also had to choose between the introductory walking tour and 20 min cruise as time did not allow for both as well as the side trip to Remarkable Cave. More time at Port Arthur to wander around without having to compromise on what was on offer would have been better.

It’s an excellent trip. Mark, our tour guide is wonderful. He is so knowledgeable, told us all the stories about what ever happened to Hobart and areas on the way to Port Arthur. He made the trip so enjoyable. We were chatting & laughing on the way to Port Arthur and on the way back. All of us in the tour group had a great day. I enjoyed the trip very much.
