It was one of the best mountain climbing experience I had so far in my life. The view was spectacular and amazing. We started climbing before sunrise with our very supportive tour guide Kevin who is an expert on his field. He doesnt only lead you in the trail but gives a lot of info and facts about the place. I admit it wasn’t that easy going up there to the top but the pain and struggle you felt is worth it when you reach the summit because you will be amazed and awe with the panoramic view of Le Morne. I would definitely go back and climb again if I visit this paradise.

Kevin, our very experienced guide, was really wonderful. The sunrise hike to the top of Le Morne is a breathtakingly marvellous experience – albeit a demanding hike. Very moving and disturbing to learn about the tragic history of the large group of slaves who plunged to their deaths from this mountain.

A fantastic morning’s climb with Kevin. It was amazing to meet so early, hear the birds’ dawn chorus and see the colourful sunrise. There is no denying that this expedition is a challenge, both up and down. You need to use both hands for the scrambling section. The sense of achievement and views at the top make it worth all the effort.
We were really glad we went so early as we missed the heat of the day for the climbing part and there were very few other people out as early – it got busier as we descended.
Kevin looked after the whole party of people with a wide range of ability and fitness. He was knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging and positive throughout. A huge thank you to him for this memory.
