We spent 2 days in London prior to cruise departure. The Toot Bus was a great way to see London and was a welcome rest from all the walking we did. My only negative observation would be that they were not quite as frequent as some of the other Hop on Hop Off brands.

Wish I had only booked one day instead of 3, but it was good for day one to get the lay of the land see the big sights. My kids were not interested in the audio tour but I liked it.

  4. Steve_W

Great service throughout our trip. Hop on and off worked fantastically.
Nothing missed the children loved ever minute with the boat trip being a special part of the day.

Not a good memory, bus was always late, no air conditioner. That’s why we canceled the other trip. My airport driver left us there and what he said: was that my fly came late, it wasn’t true. I’m going to depute it with my bank.

What a great way to see the key sites of London especially if you are at an advanced age and you are a little slower on your feet. The yellow original tour covered almost every site we wanted to see.

  7. Lori_S

It took forever for the bus to show up. Many people were getting very upset. Some people left because they were sooooo frustrated

  8. Melinda_S

Easy to find the stops and the audio on the bus was fantastic! Friendly drivers and one stopped for us to jump off at a pub that wasn’t even a planned stop!

Used the bus throughout the day. Make sure you know exactly where the bus stops are before booking to make sure you will use it and know where to get off and on. As for the river cruise, we never got on. We got in line for the last one for the night (5:15p). Waited until 5:40p and got out of line. No one updated the big group waiting on anything. We couldn’t wait any longer, so we left.

Arrived in London followed the toot bus app to find the 1st stop (yellow route )was greeted by a lovely gentleman who told us exactly how long it would be to the next bus we got on enjoyed the tour and the commentary would highly recommend for families .

  11. Michele_G

This is a great way to see the city and hear the history! The tour guides see very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend! Buses run frequently and we never had to wait long for one to come by when we’re ready to move on to the next stop.

Supposedly they have buses stopping at the signaled stops every 20 minutes but it wasn’t the case. I had to wait 45 minutes to catch mine, and when I contacted customer service, they blamed it on some protest. I’m not sure I believe it because the competition, across the road, had multiple buses stop by when I was waiting to catch mine.

Schedule was not adhered to, it was a waste of money no signage the web site/ app is useless. Hop on hop off had way more buses and seem to be always available verse Tootbus none existent. Road 2 partial segments of a 3 day pass couldn’t t even get around the whole yellowing route in over 2 hours, made it through 11 of 22 stops then the driver headed to stop 1 because it was shift change.

Horrible company. A bunch of us got on at Westminster Abby, the Blue line, to end up at the London Eye. One other guest how long and the driver said 2hrs. Bus didn’t follow the shown route completely, then at an hour an a half, pulled the bus over and said it was the end of the line and we all had to get off. We were effectively dumped in the middle of London. Drive said there would be a yellow bus pick up several blocks down. There was a family with a toddler and a baby, stuck. I had to call and pay for an Uber to get me to the starting point and by that time the Eye had closes, so I lost money on the Uber and the London Eye ticket. Do not go qith this company, go with the Big Bus or Cirty tours, saw thos guys running all over the place. Shame on Viator for not vetting the companies they recommend.

Missed the cruise due to weather but were able to see a lot of London in a short period of time. We are pleased with our experience.

  16. Bruce_M

Bus stops were not easy to find. The narrative was dated and silly. The upper deck was not covered, unlike other tours, and it was raining.

  17. Teresa_N

Hated the back round music and didn’t give as much info like the big buses. You could do a lot better

  18. Denise_J

Our bus driver got off the bus, left the engine running, didn’t say a word to anyone & didn’t return for 15 minutes!!! He left to find a bathroom it turns out. Also you advertise wefi but there wasn’t any. When I asked the bus driver, he told me to use my earbuds.

  19. Kathleen_P

It was a horrible experience. It was nearly impossible to get help to find out where the stops were. The bus drivers were rude and uncommunicative, and didn’t stop at all the designated stops. And then the bus broke down. A total nightmare. Never again!

This was a very good way to see a lot of London. We did the 3 day tickets which I would highly suggest if you’re going to be in London for a little bit. Much of London is quite walkable, but if you want to just take in everything without hurting your feet too much this is the way to go. Overall the routes were wonderful and really hit all the marks of what you want to see in London. The Yellow route was my favorite, but the blue route provided great sights outside of the main main attractions.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because we ended up not being able to take the green line due to long waits for that bus. They only had 1-2 buses for that route. Seeing that it is off the beaten path I understand, but still a little disappointed we weren’t able to see it.
Highly suggest getting the option with a boat tour down the Thames. This was a great change to the day and provided a different perspective of the city.
