Our guide claimed to be non political and not biased in any way and that he just provided information but was quite the contrary. He was very repetitive and we felt didn’t provide a comprehensive tour. Very disappointing.

The sites to see are amazing, so much to see in such a small area. The commentary was, however, lacking. Our guide went off topic on to Brexit and what sounded like conspiracy theories at times . They also said the monument to women in war, to paraphrase, was “left garbage”. We did not join a tour to hear personal opinion, we expected verified historical fact.

Wonderful guide (Jeramy)! Tour was informative, fun, enjoyable, well planned! Would take this same tour again…..

  4. John_Q

Our tour guide was very well informed about Churchill and kept us interested. Hexwas well worth the cost of the tour.

  5. Felisa_A

Disappointed. 30 minute delay. No one should have to wait for a group that long. Guide was very upset and complaining during the rest of the tour. War room was great. Skip the tour go straight to war room.

  6. John_C

Outstanding personable guide (Nathan) kept us entertained and informed. Great historical insight Lots of fun anecdotes

Phil on the royal tour was great. His knowledge of the royals and history was great. He also was great in getting us to proper spots for the changing of the guard also helped.

  8. Bill_W

Tour guide (Louise) was excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The Churchill war rooms was the highlight.

Ian was a great guide. Very funny and knew his history. Once done with Ian we want to the War Rooms. I had been before and would go again. What an amazing period of time and the new Churchill museum inside the War Rooms area is great.

Our tour guide, Jo was amazing. She was very friendly & provided us with so much information about the history of this fabulous city. Highly recommended this tour as we definitely wouldn’t have learned as much as we did on our own.

Ian was a good tour guide& very knowledgeable although i think we could have done a shorter walking tour and allowed more time for Churchill museum.

  12. Janice_L

We had the most knowledgeable and fascinating tour guide, Bob. Since we booked this tour on a Sunday afternoon, we were able to have a private tour of the Westminster area, Westminster School grounds, with Bob’s poignant historical comments regarding how the decisions made by Churchill and his team continue to influence life in England today. The war rooms themselves are history brought to life. Really a terrific tour.

Great tour guide. Meeting Location— from embankment underground from TripAdvisor confirmation is WRONG. Tour guide stated they have tried to get this changed. We almost missed tour.
I thought tour was of War Rooms but it’s only the entrance ticket which turned out to be fine. Got more of Westminster area overview with “color’ than I expected which was great. If you want War Rooms just get a ticket and go there.

Grumpy guide. Commented on very obscure things Too keen on own opinions. Not much info about world war 2 bombings.
Could have saved money by just going to war rooms myself. They were fantastic. The absolute highlight.

David was incredible! He provided a lot of great information and gave us a few laughs along the way. My son was super engaged and I’d recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of Westminster.

This tour provides a good overview of Churchill’s personal life and war history while also offering a solid understanding of the British Parliamentary system.

  17. Nadia_B

Jeremy was absolutely amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and shared so many fun facts. He was also quite funny. I highly suggest going with him.

  18. CHARLES_C

The war rooms were great, but had the impression that we would get to see the inside of Westminster Abbey.

Our tour guide Margaret (from Poland originally) gave an excellent tour, covering many historical people, places and making it very interesting. She deserves 5 stars. The Churchill War rooms are interactive and incredibly well done for students of WW2 and Churchill.
The reason for four stars is that Viator uses a group ticket for entrance into the Churchill War Rooms (THE reason we chose this tour) and there were two groups included on our “ group” ticket.
The other tour guide (Ian) was not mindful of the time. He and his group showed up 25 minutes after our 11 o’clock entrance time, so we spent 25 min of our 1.5 hrs, waiting on him.
The group ticket shared with two groups is bad programming by Viator and the 25 minute delay was bad form for Ian, the other tour guide.

Mary is a very knowledgeable and helpful Guide. She is passionate about sharing the history of Winston Churchill’s life and political career during WWII and beyond. She wove England’s history, the Monarchy and his story into one incredible telling of the events that made history…it was as if she was sharing a close friend with us all. The War Rooms and Museum are an incredible tribute to Churchill as well. So much info, photos and insight of a very complicated and highly respected man. Well done, thank you Mary!
