Get to see some of the main sights with a professional guide. Gives you good overview of Istanbul and view of what to go back and see more in-depth (ie: the museum at Sofia). We had an amazing guide, Ugur, who was able to adapt the tour as per our interests, we would highly recommend him!

This was an amazing tour. Nihal our tour guide showed up sharp on time and she showed us around everything. She has tremendous knowledge and she also carries good quality notes with diagrams which you can compare while she is showing and explaining the monument. Apart from that you can ask anything about TURKEY, ISTANBUL etc and she will answer all your questions. The tour was for 4 hours but she went extra mile and did an extra hour with us also which she did not have to.
Above all she is a lovely lady and i think when you visit a new place people like NIHAL make your trip worth it.
Book this trip you will have fun.

Wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Intimate tour of only my party plus the guide. We stayed within the historic district so we did not need a car to travel from location to location, everything was close.

Hakan our guide was a wonderful person to be around from start to finish. We told him what we hoped to see and he showed us each sight complete with a verbal detailed history. We got to sample local food and tea and enjoyed his company so much that we caught up for dinner before we left Turkey. Have recommended him to all of our friends travelling soon. Simply ask and he will deliver! We only had a few short hours to sightsee and felt so grateful for a local like him showing us around.

I am traveling solo and wanted to see the sights so I decided to book this last minute and I am SOO happy I did! I don’t really have the attention span for an 8hr site-seeing excursion but I still wanted to see some of the main sites and this was the perfect way to do it! Completely customizable! My guide, Oguz, was amazing! So friendly and informative! He even picked me up from my hotel so I didn’t get lost trying to find the meet-up point. In under 4 hours we saw ALL the main sites : Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Topkaki Palace, Suleymaniye Mosque, the outside of the Blue Mosque (unfortunately it was under construction so we couldn’t go in), the Theodosius Cistern & light show, the Grand Bazaar, and even did a little jewelry shopping. I got to experience 3 different types of public transit. I learnt a lot about the city of Istanbul, history of the mosques, and got some great tips for the rest of my stay. I could not recommend enough! I got some amazing pictures as well that I wish I could upload but was getting some error message when I tried to. In any case, best thing I’ve done while in Istanbul and couldn’t be happier! Thank you Oguz!!

Unfortunately I didn’t know that traffic in Istanbul was way beyond hellish. I wasn’t staying near the historic center, so my taxi ride, which I thought would take half an hour the most, ended up being an hour and half trip. So I met with my tour guide Mine an hour late. Even though, she was very patient and kind and did her best in showing me around the most in only two hours. She spoke very good English, and at some point I thought of her as a scholar, since she knew a lot of historical details of all the places we managed to visit. At the end, she was kind enough to teach me how to get the tram card so I wouldn’t have to take the risk of arriving late again to my next tour by taking a taxi.

I am very lucky because I arrived over an hour late to the private tour with Neslihan, and she still waited for me and my two friends to enjoy our historic and educational tour around Istanbul! She was so helpful and full of knowledge and was so patient to have waited for us due to our delay because of a flight! I highly recommend this tour and using Viator to book it. You will not regret your experience!

Ahmet Can Gurel was our guide on the Hidden Gem tour. We secured a time of 3:30pm because it was on the same day of our arrival from JFK. It was a perfect introduction to Istanbul, partly because we wanted to stay awake to adjust quickly to the time change. Ahmet was knowledgeable and his English was perfect. I detected an American accent and later he shared his experience being an exchange student to the US in 1983! (Turkey to US, PA)
We highly recommend Ahmet.
