If I could give this a 10, I would. Amazing tour inside to see the tombs at the Step Pyramid. We were the only 2 people inside. Khaled is an amazing guide.

This is my first trip to Egypt–a bucket list trip for me. Everything about this tour exceeded my expectations: Very knowledgeable guide, excellent driver, iconic sites.

We had a great tour with Mina. He was very knowledgeable and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We were picked up from our hotel by the driver and went to Saqqara first, exploring inside the tomb and plenty of time to wander around the site. On to Memphis and the colossus of Ramses II ending in Dahshur where we climbed inside both pyramids. Lunch was included and was at an open air restaurant in Giza and very nice.

Very friendly and informative. Lovely guide Akmed. Grilled lunch was simple but yummy. Loved the greenery vs the desert.

I think it is worth using a tour to secure a means of transportation to visit many pyramids such as Saqqara.

  8. Paula_Q

Saqqara was especially amazing. The site has so much to see and explore.
Guides ensured I had good background information and made sure I was well fed too. A very pleasant day.

My sister and I had an AMAZING half day tour with Ahmed Nouri!! Fascinating, insightful, and told us not only the history of the various sites and conclusions that have been made, but also alternative hypotheses and different theories that have been discussed over the years. Our tour was at an ideal pace—and he asked us many times if we wanted more or less information—we always opted for more! A early water stop and a delicious lunch of traditional Egyptian food was included. He also took us to a papyrus paper plant and shop that was not included as we had some time at the end.
I couldn’t recommend Ahmed Nouri more highly!!

Visit to the Bent and Step Pyramids was great. More peaceful tour since it is less touristy then the Giza pyramids. My guide “Mr What’s Wrong with You” was a great story teller.

I was so looking forward to this tour and it didn’t disappoint, to see these pyramids up close with the opportunity to go inside two of them was really a highlight of my trip, as well to see the HUGE statue of Ramesses ll was amazing, although there is some damage what remains is in excellent shape. I had a great , careful driver Ahmed and my guide was Hola who was very knowledgeable and made this trip enjoyable with his wit.

It was a great trip. The driver and Egyptologist expert arrived in a good car on time. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything about the sites we were going to visit. The guide was also kind enough to take some photos. We also passed by the perfumery and I was given a great presentation on the different perfumes. I didn’t buy because they were ridiculously overpriced but I enjoyed the experience nonetheless. Highly recommend this trip.

Ahmed (guide) and Hamed (driver) were both great! Ahmed was knowledgeable and explained the history in depth. They were both super thoughtful and we really enjoyed the local produce they bought us (dates and sugarcane juice). Definitely recommend!

We had the best excursion experience. Our tour guide was Lobna, a lovely lady who explained everything in detail. Lobna is very kind and helpful in any possible way. She also took us many photos and she had patience with us in this half day trip. The driver was also a very good man! We were 4 people in our group and we all strongly believe that and this excursion is a must if you visit Egypt. We are fully recommend especially Lobna for any excursion in Egypt.

This half day trip was well organised and very enjoyable. The pyramids at Dahshur and Sakarra are much quieter than this at Giza which we visited the day before, which made for a much less hectic but no less impressive experience. Our guide Muhammed was excellent, extremely knowledgable and we learned so much from him. I would definitely recommend this half day trip.

Tour guide and the driver were professional. Lunch was very good and entertaining. The trip was comfortable and very interesting. We saw Saqqara, red, and bent pyramid. Near Saqqara, there was another tomb that had wall carvings and we visited the inside. Saqqara required an additional fee to see the inside. Red pyramid was very steep and we did not go in. We also saw from afar the Black pyramid. Overall, a great day trip.

Our English speaking guide to Sakkara, Dashur and Memphis was Ahmed Magdy who was excellent. Like many guides, probably most, he was freelance and hired by Emo Tours. He has his own facebook page which has many good write ups for the tours he has guided.
We were not rushed and had ample time to enter the two most important pyramids at Sakkara. This half day tour lasted about 5 hours and we had lots of time to get the best photos. Many photo points were in fact recommended by Ahmed. We were glad we did not try to visit the Pyramids and Sakkara in the same day. This we feel would be too many pyramids in one day. The facts and details tend to merge as you move from one set of pyramids to the next. Other hotel guests who did this were exhausted. Best to have a break and visit separately on different days if you can and probably from a historical perspective it’s best to go to Sakkara and Dashur first.

Super friendly guide and good driver! Abou told us a lot about the history of the piramids. We visited Saqqara (pyramid and thomb of Unas). Next we went to Dosher and and then we visited Memphis. At every site he guided us and gave us some time to walk and look around by ourselves. Very relaxed and interesting tour. And the driver picked us up at the sites, so we did not have to walk far. Very good service!

Everything went beautifully from minute one… Great communication, very accommodating, even with some travel plan changes at the last minute on our end… Incredible information and positive energy the entire time! I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Egypt for the first time… For us, it was the first day, and it absolutely opened our eyes and our hearts to the people, the history, and the spirit of the country.
