The fountains are absolutely amazing, no pumps all fed by canals, beautiful grounds. Breathtaking views.

Had an amazing day on our guided tour of the Tivoli villas. Our tour guide, Joseph/Giuseppe was awesome! He took us to all of the best spots and provided wonderful commentary about the history of each place. Pickup and dropoff seemed a little disorganized, and the lunch was nothing special. Despite those small cons, would definitely recommend this tour.

Unfortunately, the most memorable part of this trip was that there were no fountains running at all. Supposedly, they weren’t running just on that day. Hmmm. We were not informed of this until we got there. So the reason we went, the beautiful fountains, was not to be seen. The tour in general was fine, the lunch was okay, and the tour guide was fine. I would recommend the tour if the fountains are running, but not if they aren’t.

Very nice experience. Our tour guide Joseph was great. He had a nice dry sense of humor, and kept us all rounded up and moving, which I like. Did just the right amount of talking and then letting you wander a little. The two places we visited were not to be missed.

We found it too rushed at the gardens. Need more time to enjoy that place. Lunch should be shorter. Thanks

Lunch was horrible. Bad bruscetta. Flavourless fettuccine. Cold main course and tasteless wine. Enough said.

Joseph was a great guide. So informative. We enjoyed the day
Lasting memories of early Roman times. B

Alyssa was a great tour guide and knew a lot about the estates. She was very personable. Lunch was good. I could have eaten a ton of bruschetta. The food was good. It was an enjoyable day and a lot of fun. Thank you Enzo for driving us around.

Lovely day outside of Rome. Both Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este tours with Giuseppe were fun and very interesting. Plenty of time to see each. Travel to and from by bus was very comfortable. Lunch was plentiful but I’d prefer better quality and smaller portions.

I enjoyed the tour very much and was pleased with Giuseppe’s commentary. However the sound system in the bus let him down. I would have liked to have heard more.

The bus ride from Rome to Tivoli was short and the 2 locations were close-by. The gardens were the highlight of the tour. They are truly an amazing site. Our tour guide was very professional and delivered the tour in an interesting and entertaining way. The lunch was one of the best meals that we had in Rome. The tour was one of our best in Italy.

Fantastic time! The Villa was beautiful, as were the gardens! Definitely a site to see! I really enjoyed the promptness of our tour guide and that he kept the group on track. The lunch was terrible and tasted like chef boyardee and burned/old bread though, so I’d do the tour without the lunch and get your own.

This was a spectacular experience. So very beautiful. The fountains as re amazing. Wish you could actually sit on the lawn & enjoy a picnic.

We were rushed through lunch and weren’t able to get dessert. The grounds and the guide were awesome. Overall a good trip.

The gardens etc were beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable
We had tour with lunch which was not worth money. Would have enjoyed doing lunch on our own. Service was slow and they were bringing out a dessert as everyone was leaving or gone in order to get to the meeting place

I had read reviews and expected it to be a great tour, but it was even better than expected! Excellent guide! He was very familiar with the history and the area since he had lived his whole life in Tivoli. He was fun, yet kept things moving and on schedule. Both sites were amazing in their own way. The meal was at a local family restaurant. There was plenty of food, and it was good.

This tour had beautiful views but was a bit rushed for the size of the place. Lunch was bountiful but meh, wine was included. No offense to the restaurant necessarily as most of the places we went to in Italy had little flavor. I think the tour guide had lunch and shopping lined up with good friends. Prices were good at shops because of it probably so won’t complain there too much as we did get some decently priced souvenirs. With a clear sunny day and being able to view Rome from a distance the price for the tour was worth it I’d say.

The locations were great ! Villa D’Este was beautiful. Our guide Giuseppe, seemed distant and aloof -not friendly – the food at lunch was not good – we are Italian, the sauce lacked flavor , the pork with tuna really not good .

Great opportunity to see the ruins of Hadrian’s Villa and then see the elements used at Villa D’Este. Great tour guide, Giuseppe, who was from Tivoli. The gardens and hundreds of water fountains were amazing. Especially great to see the “water piano”. Well worth the trip!

We approached the tour with some trepidation after scoping out the meeting point the evening before, but were pleasantly surprised when our tour guide turned up on time at the designated meeting location. We were all issued with headsets that allowed everyone to listen to the very informative and sometimes amusing commentary from our guide. Giuseppe is a Tivoli local so knew the area and its history extremely well. Hadrian’s Villa was amazing as too the beautiful Villa d’este. A very enjoyable lunch was enjoyed in a local Tivoli restaurant. We were extremely impressed with how smooth and organised the tour was run so would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed tour in the Rome countryside and two of Its wonderful attractions.
