Being able to see these monuments that were thousands of years old was unbelievable. To be able to construct and build without today’s modern tools was overwhelming. Seeing the skill and craftsmanship of the items in the museum was breathtaking.

Driver Mohamed and guide Khaled were both polite, friendly and attentive, and showed us exactly on time.
The pyramids is absolutely something you should do, and Khaled really added value by taking the time to share the stories and history, as well as taking as many photos as you wish. You are also unlikely to be hassled by touts if you travel with a guide. The view at the front of the pyramids is wonderful, but the real benefit of this tour is that guide and driver will take you to the other side to see the panoramic view quickly and comfortably.
Similarly, Khaled added a lot of value at the Egyptian Museum, pointing out details and explaining parts of the history that I would never have noticed myself.
The bazaar, as other reviews have said, is fine but a bit of a tourist trap. If pushed for time, cut this.
After the trip, I was happy to tip both driver and guide. But they did not ask for a tip, and I did not get the impression I would have been hassled had I neglected to.
Other useful information:
The company was happy to arrange for me to be picked up at one hotel and dropped off at another, keeping my case in the boot the entire time, with no extra charge.
If you opt for the “without meal” option, make sure you have something to eat before you go and bring some snacks – it’s quite a long day and plenty of time in the car between stops to have a banana.

I had the best trip ever in Cairo. The pyramid tour was mind blowing, i could not believe my eyes are seeing the pyramids for real. The Egyptian museum was very educational, learnt Egyptian’s past era’s history, have seen the artifacts from 3,000 yrs ago! My tour guide Noha was very knowledgeable and helpful, she was great in sharing good stories about the pyramids and content of the museum. I learned a lot from her and from this tour. Highly recommended.

Ahmed was our guide and Yusuf was our driver. They both treated my husband and I like family. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history and was able to explain fine details in a very organized way. He also took great pictures and helped us haggle with the shopkeepers. Ahmed was so generous and hospitable that he even bought us street food. All in all, great experience and highly recommend

Our Cairo trip is superb! Thanks to Emotours especially to Bossi our guide. She’s really great and cool! It’s like we just met a new friend with her. You’ll know Cairo at Giza history in just a snap because of her. She’s very nice, attentive and willing to lend extra hand to make her guest comfortable. We had a problem with our internet and she helped us which I don’t think still included in our tour. It was a long 2 day tour for us but it’s really worth it. Will definitely go back. Surely will recommend this trip to our friends.

Absolutely amazing experience! We had Nehad as our tour guide and she is beyond amazing. She brought the pyramids to life with her explanation, and did a really good job at the Egyptian museum. She really took care of us and helped us whenever we needed something. She speaks excellent English and her accent is very easy to understand. Our driver was great, he drove very safely, and the car was comfortable. Contacting the tour operator on viator was easy and they always responded quickly. All in all a really great day tour.

It was a well organised and quite enjoyable day trip in Cairo and Giza and Sayed Mahmoud was a wonderful guide! His English was great and he could easily explain everything we wanted to know. We would definitely have him as a guide for the other sights of Egypt as well!
The driver was skilled and despite the heavy traffic we never waited for him for more than a minute or two.

Easy arrangements with the Egyptologist for pickup and the tour. Knowledgeable person that ticked all the boxes, highly recommend this tour. Well worth it.
The lunch was ok and it was a nice experience. My only recommendation would be to have a lighter version of the historical information that you have to absorb. It’s also a holiday and your mind needs to relax a bit. Info overload.

I was sent a guide who just could not speak English!!! Being a linguist myself, in the beginning I thought it would be fun to struggle a bit, but after 30 minutes I was exhausted and very sad, because this is a once in a lifetime experience… Olivia may be indeed an “arkoolozist” but it took me another hour to understand that “surfax” is actually a sarcophagus and that “kusametik aeparoos” means painted eyebrows. Between visits I was in a car where she was only speaking with the driver under music, or they both spoke on their phones instead of giving a couple of information, like other viator guides do. But the worst part is that every single of my questions had two answers: “Hmmm” and “Yaaa…”. I am terribly disappointed because this is so bad for business, for such a lovely country l, and such a waste of valuable time for me, who might never be able to make it back to Egypt…

Ahmed is not only a great tour guide but also a professional photographer, he took excellent photos and videos and left us with unforgettable memories. The tour team is comprise of two persons, the driver (Karim) and the guide(Ahmed).
The driver is 5* very polite and very professional, but the guide ruin it.
I had the tour with my wife and in the middle of the tour, he made a video call with someone that he was trying to hook me up with!!!
It was very unpleasant and ruined one experience that had everything to be unforgettable.

Booking through Viator made it very easy to organise my day trip to Cairo from Hurghada. I found a trip that allowed me to see the main highlights and the Tour Company EMO Tours who were excellent.
I booked a private tour and thoroughly recommend as the Guide and Driver can flex the day to fit your agenda. Our guide Mohammad met us outside the airport on time. He was really educated in the history of Giza and Pyramids and especially was excellent taking us around the museum and gave us detailed info on each of the exhibits. We were two females travelling on our own but we felt very safe and was a great experience. The guide spoke excellent English .
