The similar tour from our ship only had one spot left and so we took a gamble with this company as we really wanted the experience. Our arrival time was changed for our docking but when we contacted Stephen regarding the conflict he said they cater to the cruise ships and changed our time to accommodate. Amanda our driver, greated us with the tour van, and as the Corona Virus had been playing havoc with decreased bookings and cancellations we were the only two for the tour. Amanda gave us a wonderful experience showing us all the tour had to offer and more. The Maori Village is a cultural wonder, unique and educational. The tour around Tauronga, a stop at a kiwifruit farm, Rotorua, the giant redwoods, a stop at Mossop’s Honey Shoppe and a bonus stop at McClaren Falls rounded out a glourious 8 hour excursion with our very gracious host, Amanda.

Started the day with an easy pickup. Right outside the port the tour company had our names on a board ready to meet us. Snacks, water and WiFi were included through the duration of the trip. Our guide was very helpful and friendly. Ensured we were all comfortable throughout. Had a great lunch provided at one of the locations. Would 100% recommend.

Good guide… Stephen. While the Māori village was interesting and the in house guide was charming it was not really a village and we did not experience the Māori culture and dance . Nonetheless we enjoyed our day and learned a lot from Stephens commentary.
