I really enjoyed the day trip to Halong Bay. It is such a beautiful place and was generally a wonderful experience. The tour guide was great and funny and the other staff members were very willing to help.
It is a long drive there and back but worth it to see the caves, Halong Bay and the beach. It would have been nice to stay a bit longer at the beach but it would have meant getting back later so this is nothing bad to say about the tour itself.
I would recommend to travelers to give them a taste of Vietnam’s beauty!

The trip was arranged as the program had been advertised. It was a bit rushy otherwise all could not fit in. The toilet break at the Handcraft shop and the kajaking/bamboo boating was waste of time. Had to wait in a huge hectic mass of people for our turn for the “bamboo boat”, which has not seen any bamboo parts ever, lasted for 10-12 mins only, total chaos. Our boat Violet, was the most rusty one in the harbour but did not sink, so no complain. The food was dry, tasteless and totally cold. Chicken and sea food, really bad, made on the boat. Better not to see the “kitchen” where it was made. They made vegetarian food for some travelers, it looked better but much left, so not sure it was better. Of course the drinks payable. The places we visited were really pretty (that´s why I chose this trip although more expensive than others but not better quality). The cave, the route in Halong Bay, Titop Island and the sunset were amaizing. Guide nice, tried her best but speaks bad English.

Everything’s fine. The bus is big and comfortable. They made the typical stop to go to the bathroom in a company that sells pearls… it’s the only drawback, instead of doing it in the middle of the journey they waited to get to this place for tourists but hey it’s the least of it. The boat is good, few people, the bad thing is the control they have so that no one is on top at certain times, which forces you to see the landscape from the room below at many times. The food was medium good, varied but nothing exquisite, more vegetables than anything else. The halong area is spectacular, the stop on the island to climb the mountain is fine, the area for perfect kayaking even if it costs two more euros (at least that was the cost there if you didn’t have a pre-contracted one) The stop at the cave is also great and unexpected . On the way back all good. The perfect guide. I would repeat
