I loved hiking up to the lighthouse and then returning by descending the pinnacle so it was a Circuit.
It is a difficult and hard hike but very rewarding.
Matthew_K –
Beautiful little Island with crystal clear waters lots of snorkeling hot spots and great mini hike to boot!
Miles_B –
Great way to swim/snorkel/beach flop/rain forest trek if you’re staying in Cairns. Be aware that the “half day” will only get you 100 minutes on the island. We booked a full day on Viator, but were ticketted for the half. If fairness, the company were very fair and gave us a pro rata part refund. They are good people.
Jason_L –
Staff are amazing, they are 10/10. the island is lovely though maybe a half day would suffice. Glass bottom boat a must, was far more educational than we expected which was a highlight. I imagine it would be very hot here in summer, winter is perfect !
we did have issues with some snorkel so could only go snorkelling 1 at a time. Was refused a measly $20 refund for the damaged gear.. extremely disappointed with that. The ferry ride on the way to the island is rough, and the staff said it was a calm day “there were a few sick on board”
All in all, we loved it and would go again but next time, w would stay a night or two at the resort on the island

I couldn’t make it to the original booked date due to last minute flight cancellation. It was past the time to cancel to get a refund on Viator but the staff offered to move me to a later day. I couldn’t make that day either due to a cold but highly appreciative of their willingness to help. Thanks and hope to use your service another time.

Was beautiful scenery great snorkelling. Bring things/ water booties as the beaches are covered in coral and hard on your feet

Loved the trip to Fitzroy Island. What a stunning part of the world. The trip was well organized with staff on board making sure everyone got their equipment and made sure it fit before we arrived on the island. First of I went snorkeling at Nudie Beach and saw so many gorgeous corals and fish. Then I followed one of the guides tips and went left at the jetty and walked all the way to the end of that beach. Wasn’t even in the water when I already spotted a little ray and not even 5 minutes later I spotted a turtle. I had also booked the guided snorkeling tour and both guides were very knowledgeable and did a great job guiding us over the corals. I’m glad I got to learn about the different species of corals and all the fish. We even spotted some clown fish. Not sure how people thought it was too much time on the island, I could have easily stayed on and kept exploring. Thanks for a wonderful trip.

Sadly had to carry and lug flipper masks are jackets around all day.
Would not recommend hiring snorkel gear through the tour.hire on the island as you can return any time and you don’t have to lug it around!
Renata_W –
Great hike to nudey beach, nice place to have lunch at the local bar overlooking the beach. Make sure you have diving shoes if you want to snorkel as walking to the water you have to go over coral. Beautiful place. Definitely worth to visit
Julie_L –
Lovely beaches and gorgeous water. A decent variety of fish and coral to see while snorkeling right off the beach.
Samantha_W –
Beautiful scenery and walks.
Comfortable trip to and from the island.
Snorkling along side a turtle.
Well worth the trip.
Catherine_F –
The highlights were Snorkeling at Nudey beach and going out on the glass bottom boat. Also the island was very scenic.
KimSophie_W –
I would absolutely recommend to book the guided snorkel experience, it was a great thing to do.
What you also absolutely should do is the Summit hike, you need to be fit have enough water and good shoes are recommended. It is exhausting but the hike is absolutely worth it!

Snorkelling off the beach was amazing. Also really enjoyed the short rainforest walks. Very kid friendly. Cafe/bar did a great lunch

Beautiful day out with my husband and 12 year old son…My boy will remember that day forever! We swam with so many Colourful fish 🐠
Gemma_C –
Easy way to travel across to Fitzroy island with option for snorkel gear. The ferry was delayed but still plenty of time on the island. I do recommend getting the 4pm ferry back if possible, as you have plenty of time! The island itself is stunning!
ChanJin_K –
The Fizroy island was beautiful, however tour operator members were not kind, helpful, and professional. I won’t take this trip next time.
Gaynor_M –
Out of the 3 face masks we were given 2 were broken. You had to pay extra to be given lessons in how to use the snorkel equipment. From the moment we checked on board it was chaos. We weren’t sent to the front of the boat to check in for our snorkel equipment, along with everyone else (on a small boat with not a lot of room). Then I was sent to the back of the boat, along with everyone else, to actually pick up our equipment and guess the sizes needed for the 3 people using the equipment. There wasn’t much room to try anything on so we didn’t and all 3 of us could have sized down. If we had been able to snorkel properly I think it would have been a great experience. The island itself was gorgeous though.

Trip over was rough but that’s no one’s fault, we had low visibility due to weather conditions so we didn’t see anything much at all. Glass bottom boat was very short and like I said, not much visibility. The island was lovely to walk on the trail through the rainforest area. The cocktails were great at foxys, the tour guide on glass bottom boat was very knowledgeable, it was a nice day but we wouldn’t come back again.
