September2016 nice small group and the van ride was good. wished it included stops to traditional markets and souks.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque the guide provided the women with burka in order for us to enter the mosque since the guard did not consider our clothing thick enough.
Abu Dhabi Heritage Village clean small place but went after 1pm and it was too hot to walk around
Emirates Palace hotel the tour did not stop in front for better pictures instead we saw it across the lake.
lunch at a cutting-edge shopping mall not a very big food court but can also purchase food at the store inside the mall
Ferrari World got to go inside but there were only 2 cars displayed for pictures, good enough since we did not want to do the amusement park rides not all the rides were operational the day we were there

This is the best tour you can take if you want to visit Abu Dhabi. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and makes the tour as interactive as possible. The tour provides a great overview of Abu Dhabi with a nice balance of different stops for diverse interests. Highly recommend. This is a do not miss when you visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi!

An excellent day tour to Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide had great knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. She was an encyclopaedia of the Emirates, we learnt things about the people, culture and life in the region during the tour. A well informed tour and on schedule at each location we stopped at, thanks to the driver and guide. We would have like to spend a little longer at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and would have given up one of the other stops. Highly recommended, great experience and would like to see the mosque again.

Our tour guide was very informative and we learnt so much from this tour. The Grand Mosque is especially interesting and incredibly beautiful!

Driver was late said it was due to the guest before was a no show. Tour guide was good, but deets and rug stops could be cut out and add something else.

Picked us up at our hotel on time, 8 a.m. Unfortunately another guest gave the wrong hotel information so our tour never left Dubai until close to 10 a.m. The highlight was the Grand Mosque, could have passed on Ferrari World as it was a complete waste of time. The other huge waste of time was 1.5 hours at the mall for lunch. When we were already so late the lunch break should have been shortened. We went to Heritage Park which we couldn’t see as it was closing as we were arriving. Guide and driver were both smokers and as a result our 5 minutes gas break on the way home turned into 20-25 minutes this was not aided by participants who continued to come back late. The tour guide could have done a far better job in reeling these people in as they wasted a lot of everyone’s time.

Our Tour guide was superb… He had great knowledge of the history as well as the current events .. He was fun and entertaining quite well considering that we had a long trip to get there. We will recommend this tour and also Viator … without any doubt ..

Our tour guide, Mohamed, from Dubai was exceptional. He gave us a proper tour of the two cities. Ladies be warned, do not show SKIN when you go to the Mosque. We thought a jersey and a scarf was okay, only to be told that the jersey was transparent. Take a long skirt/dress, long sleeve shirt not tight fitting and a cotton scarf to cover your head and shoulders.

We were collected from our hotel at the prescribed time which was a reflection of the day. Enough time to do all events but also sufficient free time to explore local sites. Our guide for the day, Ashraf, spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgable about everything from the history of Dubai and Abu Dhabi to the present day. He was mindful of local customs and ensured we were well prepared to respect these. We particularly liked the visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and were humbled by it’s sheer size and brilliance. Ashraf was very helpful not only by making sure we were appropriately dressed but also to hand with many facts and figures about the mosque. We were provided with water throughout the day and given sufficient time for lunch. I would strongly recommend this day trip but note the 8hrs needed to complete it. We also went to the Ferrari centre, drove by the Royal Palaces as well as the impressive Emirates Hotel and finished at one of the huge local shopping malls. Not only was the day educational but a trip into the historic as well as current day Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I would highly recommend this trip and score it 5 out of 5 for excellence. A terrific day ! EXCELLENT! Our guide was highly knowledgeable and patient to answer all our questions. Great care to be sure we understood the rules for the Mosque and demonstrated respect for the religion and the mosque itself. Recommend this tour to all!

This was one of my highlights – the mosque is incredible and our guide on this trip was great.

An excellent tour. The highlight was the beautiful mosque in Abu Dhabi. Our guide, Ahmed, was excellent. He was friendly and helpful and dealt with any problems that occurred in a relaxed but efficient manner.

This was an excellent tour! One of the pluses is that you are picked up at your hotel. The Tour Guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. My only complaint is that we ran out of time on the tour and missed one or two stops. There was some kind of mix up at one of the hotel pick-ups and we waited for a while for them to straighten things out, and I believe we lost some precious time because of that. You should eat before you go as you are picked up in the morning and it is an hour and half drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Mosque. That was one of the main reasons I booked this tour and it was quite fascinating. I also met other travelers from all over the world. I could have spent more time there. Women MUST be dressed appropriately with a head-covering. The great part of this tour is that they have clothes in various sizes for women that may not be covered up. The Mosque is quite opulent and beautiful.

This was a great trip with a really knowledgeable and friendly guide: Nivian gave us an excellent insight into Dubai and Abu Dhabi which was appreciated as it was our first visit. The day was well thought out with stops to stretch and refresh that were just the right length and at interesting venues. The heritage village was much more interesting and tastefully done than expected, with a good museum. The mosque was a beautiful place and the highlight of the day just remember to wear or take socks if you don’t like going in bare feet!. The day kept perfectly to time and once again we have enjoyed an excellent trip through viator.

Glad we did it since we did not know any better, but wish we had rented a car for the day and made the trip ourselves so we could do things at our own pace. The mosque was stunning and definitely what made the whole trip worthwhile. We were given 1 hour to tour it, and though I could have spent a little more time there, I felt that was sufficient. After the mosque, we went to the Heritage Village, where we only had 30 minutes. My spouse and I elected to take photos of the skyline and put our toes in the sand, but this meant that we essentially had no time to see the exhibits, so I wish we had been able to spend more time there. Then we were taken to a shopping mall where we were given a little over an hour, which most people spent at the food court eating lunch. This was fine, but did not happen until 2pm, so I would advise anyone who is used to eating lunch earlier to maybe bring a small snack. After eating at the mall, we were taken to a place across the water from the Presidential Palace for a 15 minute photo stop. Then we were taken to Ferrari World for a 30 minute photo stop, which was also fine, but would not satisfy anyone who actually wished to go into Ferrari World which does have a steep entrance fee.
For me, the real issue was the size of the tour was relatively large, which meant we spent almost as much time in traffic in Dubai picking up and dropping off other passengers. In the morning, we spent two hours in the car going around Dubai to pick up other people some of whom showed up more than 30 minutes late to their pick up time, then we met up with a tour bus that already had a number of people on it, and then went to pick up even more people. By the time we got on the bus, the only space where two people could sit together was in the front immediately behind the driver, which was hot and had no leg room because of the way the engine well was situated. The tour guide kept insisting that I sit up there with my spouse when I selected a single seat near the door. When I flat out refused to move to that seat, the tour guide finally moved a bag from another single seat to allow my spouse to sit there, which meant the last people picked up were stuck with the zero leg room seats. The guide also later was snippy with me when I was two minutes late by his clock to the meeting site at the mosque when my phone said I was on time, which was a bit weird. Overall, the guide was funny, but the two awkward interactions, plus all the time spent driving around picking up other people did not make it our favorite tour in Dubai.

It was a fun filled day! The tour guide tailored to what we wanted to do and asked us how much time we wanted to spend at each location, which was really nice. We went to all the places listed on the website!

Very good tour. Our guide was very knoledgeable and our driver excellent. The visit to the mosque is a must – guide arranged for everything including dressing according to the strict regulations for visiting the mosque. Everything with the tour was really good with exception of 2 points this is why overall rating is good:
    1. mini van with which we did the tour had extremely little space for people to move – the provider could have arranged for a more spacious van.
    2. this day tour was on the first day of Ramadan, all eating places were closed in Abu Dhabi shopping center where we were supposed to eat. But even food that we could buy from supermarket there was no place to eat – provider could have arranged to find an area where people could eat but this is more of a minor point.
Still a great excursion and I would recommend to do it.

Really good trip, well organized, good guide with detailed understanding of the Mosque and Abu Dhabi as a whole. This would be a difficult trip to organize on your own and worth the money.

Collected from the hotel and joined others for this day tour of Abu Dhabi from Dubai. Visited the Ferrari World mainly for the rest room.
It did have a roller-coaster but it was for shopping as this was during Ramadan. Took photos of the Emirates Palace Hotel but with restrictions. Dropped off at the Mall for lunch but it wasn’t opened and we were there for about 45 mins quite disappointing. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque where the chandeliers were breath taking. For the price, I was
    truly disappointed.

Our tour was fantastic. I would highly recommend doing this tour, and looking to learn many details that you may not already know. The mosque is great. I would give this tour a whirl for sure.

I rarely write a bad review on Viator because most of the tours we go on are top notch and very professional, but this tour was definitely disappointing. Abu Dhabi is a must see, as is the mosque, so you should plan a trip to see it. However, what they don’t tell you is how sensitive the trip can be to inclement weather, so it may make sense to plan/book the trip once you get there. We chose a day that it rained and because of that we were denied access to the prayer room, which is really the most impressive part of the mosque. On top of that disappointment, we also felt our tour guide was at times apathetic and at other times down right contentious or dismissive with the group and questions we asked. Overall, really was disappointing, but Abu Dhabi is worth the trip, so maybe find another tour company to do it with, or just rent a car yourself!

It was a very interesting ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. i really want to commend our guide and driver. He came on time and very patient by explaining the things we do not understand. If u are therefore, going for this trip, ask for Magdi. You will enjoy the ride.

The tour was everything we expected it to be and more! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the history and culture of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Our first stop was at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – what an experience it was! The design, the furnishings, the chandeliers, the list just goes on and on! A definite must-see!
We also visited the Abu Dhabi Heritage Village, drove through the city to admire Abu Dhabis glass skyscrapers, the palm-lined Corniche and stopped outside the Emirates Palace hotel to take some pictures. Another highlight of the tour was visiting Ferrari World. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it!

Awful! The bus’ AC broke down with a temperature of 115 degrees! We were dumped at a mall for about hour and a half while the bus driver went to get another bus. We had a very brief stop at Ferrari Word but a couple of women on the tour went on a shopping spree and we had to wait an extra hour for them! The driver was incredible incompetent as to how to find those women. I’ve taken many and I mean many tours before where the driver warns you that if you’re not on the bus by certain time, that it, the bus leaves you–and they’ve done it! These were the same two women that had some kind of issue entering the Great Mosque of Abu Dhabi as well, which also slowed us up even more. That took some of our valuable time to enjoy the mosque even more. The only thing that saves this tour is the mosque, hands down. The Great Mosque of Abu Dhabi is a site no one should miss while in the UAE. Abu Dhabi, as a city, is not at all like Dubai. It seems drab and void of charm, except for the mosque. In the end, if you’re able to rent a car in Dubai to go see the mosque on your own do it and save some money–and plenty of your valuable time!

Our tour guide was amazing. she was friendly and knowledgable. Thank you!

  30. Beatriz_M

Guide was great and advised the group very clearly on what was required to enter the Mosque in order to not waste time and how to take advantage of every second we had there. I would highly recommend them

1 hour for Ferrari World has no sense, visited 2 shops are pure sales events. What remains as positive is the visit of the mosque (2h) and a reasonable lunch (1H). For this there is no need to buy the tour, do it by yourself!
