Riding with Tanya is a unique experience. My takeaway is she approaches her tours as though she just picked up out of town friends at the airport and wants to show off her city. The tour took us to many unexpected sights and destinations that only would be known to residents intimate with the neighborhood. Tanya is the real deal and this tour is a must do activity if one wants to learn Dallas.

My nieces both loved hearing the history of Dallas, one wants to be an architect so pointing out all the designs was great. The called there parents right away and told them how much fun. We all really enjoyed Daniel’s history lessons and his enthusiasm. So much fun.

Im confused by all the high ratings given to this tour. Tour guide was sweet but the tour lacked any coherent information to make it of value. A few sentences were said about dallas but no real origin story or general facts about the city that would be be interesting or memorable. She knew very little about any of the landmarks she mentioned -could only name them or describe what was visible. Highlights include comments like “this street is made of brick, this hotel is old, this cemetary is haunted, this mural is pretty”—all said with no further explanation. At the jfk site she spoke more excitedly about herconspiracy theories but we couldnt follow because she jumped from one thought to another without full explanation. I had to join in on other tours occurring at the site to get info. There should be a standard script for guides that guarantee that travelers get a standard base experience and then the guides can add stories to that.

I am very disappointed with this tour. They canceled the tour! We went to Dallas from out of town. When I reached there, I called the local number that was provided. And they said it’s canceled. They tried to call me. But didn’t leave any message! We had only one day, so didn’t take this tour. They said they will refund me. Disappointed.

Tour guide was very nice and friendly. The ride/vehicle is VERY bumpy so if you have any neck or back issues you might want to be careful. Also, you get dropped off at the market/food hall for 20mins which would have been great but nothing was open at my drop off time so I just stood and waited for the 20 mins.
