Gorgeous vantage points and coastline! Our guide, Allison, was phenomenal. She shared so much information about Cairns, the coast, Daintree and Cape Trib. The lunch was phenomenal, the scenery spectacular and each stop offered a different perspective of the area.

The trip was really good, but the time at Cape Tribulation was a bit of a let down, just walked on the beach for a while and off again. The rainforest is wonderful and the lunch was brilliant !! Would recommend the trip.

The tour is roughly 12 hours. There is much riding, but the guide educates you as sugar cane fields, rivers, and rainforest passes by. The smooth boat ride up the Daintree River was a highlight as we saw occasional snakes, crocodiles, and birds. However, crocs are not lying everywhere; they have to be sought out, but our guide did an excellent job finding them. While walking through the rainforest, there were a great many trees and shrubs to see, but not so many animals, frogs, or insects. Yes, no mosquitos or gnats, but at night they come out, I was told. I would have liked to see more animals and especially frogs, but their absence is not unusual. I have been to two other rainforests–and animals are elusive or found primarily at night.
A meal is included–beef, sausage, and fish ok–but the cole slaw and fruits were very good and the staff very nice. I strongly recommend this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable about economics, environment, and even legislation, yet he was not preachy. I saw a great deal in one day and left longing for more. That is success.

Well thought out itinerary. Excellent knowlegeable guide who was very entertaining with his jokes and commentary. Daniel also was a very skilled driver. The BBQ lunch was great and also the morning tea was enjoyable. We got to see crocs and enjoyed Mossman Gorge and the river cruise.

Beautiful waterways & rainforest environments. On the Daintree River cruise thrilled to see 3 large salties on the river bank, another swimming, and a few juveniles. Other animals included a tree snake, Great Egret, & Great Billed Heron.

From Cairns it took 2 hours to pick up the other travelers in Port Douglas, but then progressed well. Driver had lots of knowledge about nature, history and geology.

Unable to get into Mossman Gorge….. it was like traveling half way around the world to view the Grand Canyon and then being told you paid for it but not going to see it…!! We even altered other tours to push this tour an additional day and still never saw the gorge!!😡😡😡

Deducting a star because the River cruise was advertised as an hour but was really only about 30 minutes.
Gorgeous views of beaches and rainforests. The lookout stops were especially pretty. Daniel was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
As an aside, please double check your pickup point with the tour operator. Our Viator tickets said we’d be picked up from our hotel but the meet up point was actually somewhere else (nearby).

With a limited time for Cairns we wanted to see as much as possible. Scott and Down Under Tours provided an amazing experience. We would love to have had more time in each place but time was the limiter. The best part was the river cruise, where we saw 3 crocks, a tree snake and numerous birds. On the bus itself, Scott, our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. We had the exceptional luck of seeing a daddy Cassowary and a baby while driving.
