Actually we were not Able to ride the cable car and missed out the Alps due to the bad Weather . We had to enjoy the Walk around Chamonix instead and Roger our guide was very Kind enough To take care of all our concerns .
Instead of going back to Geneva with a very heavy Heart (not seeing the Alps)-Roger had fo divert our schedule to another area where we can at least enjoy the tour .
Though we didnt Go up -i truly Appreciated the way Roger handled our “mishap”.
A.m sure If the Weather was good -we would have enjoyed the tour more .
I always recommend Viator to My friends !!!

Stay away from this tour and its operator “Excursions Key Tours” and book with a different company rather than Viator. The price you paid does not includes access to the train ride and you will have to buy tickets there for 35.50 CHF. The tour guide knows about this problem and will try to sell your tickets there once you arrived. They are completely aware Viator is advertising a complete package that supposedly includes everything. According to tour company, they talked to Viator before about it and nothing has been done. The entire group in the bus (20+ people) had the same issued and the tour guide simply said “ it is not my problem, talk to Viator”. Both companies are extremely unprofessional with extreme lack of customer service. Save yourself a problem and book with someone else and avoid this hassle. One star is too much for both, Viator and Key Tours. The location is amazing, definitely go but with someone else.

The bus to Mont Blanc was reasonable, however there was no real value provided by the guide and we likely would have been better off arranging travel on our own for what we got through the travel group. Mont Blanc itself was absolutely wonderful and worth the visit, but not with this package.

The trip was amazing but the Viator booking app is a problem. It cancelled the event booking 2 days prior on its own stating transaction is declined. This happened for both the trips I booked on Viator. I had to rebook and repay for both. Had I not checked the email I would have missed the trip completely. In the second instance I also had to face a rude lady at key tours who kept insisting that I had cancelled the booking. Which was untrue. Did not even apologise after the accusation.

This trip has a lot of possible extras, but I got the basic Chamonix only. It looked like there was supposed to be some kind of guidance around the town, but none was provided. So for the price, you can certainly get cheaper transportation there and back. The transportation was comfortable and did offer multiple times to return.

Chamonix is beautiful, and I highly recommend going there. However, the tour is basically just an overpriced bus ticket. There is no guide, not even a quick point in the right direction. We also booked the cable-car and train ride. Those were unavailable, which isn’t the tour operators fault. However, we have still yet to receive a refund for those activities which were unavailable.

I do not recommend traveling with this tour operator, since on the website they do not inform about the reality of the tour. I booked the trip in November and when I got to the office to go on the tour they told me that all the attractions were closed for maintenance. Then they reimbursed me for the cost of the guide (approx. $35) and told me that I could travel on my own (I paid approx. $90 for the round trip by bus). Upon reaching Chamonix, most shops, cafes, and restaurants were closed. The view is very beautiful, but it is not worth paying for a 1-day tour to walk in the town without any information and not being able to go up to see the Alps (which is the attraction of the place). I think the tour operator should report this earlier, because myself and 4 other people who booked the same tour ended up coming back earlier and agreed that if we had known this, we probably would have preferred to visit another site that day.

We originally booked the Chamonix/Mont Blanc tour, but as the cable car was closed for maintenance, Key Tours replaced this with their Glacier 3000 tour. It turns out, November is the usual time for maintenance in Chamonix, so Key Tours would have known, when they sold the tickets, that their original tour would not be able to proceed. We received a small refund, but it is still unethical business practice by a tour company to allow bookings to be made when the programmed event can’t take place.

This was a great trip to explore the town of Chamonix. The town was beautiful and we enjoyed the train to Mer de Glace.
With that said, the trip to the summit via the gondola and the ice caves were closed. It was not clear to us when booking the experience, so I recommend trying to look into those details ahead of time.

1 day tour to Chamonix from Geneve has 3 options. On the website I chose the middle one (112,90€) that initially says the cable car and the train are included. Only after, when paying, the user realises that nothing but the trip is included!!! I only realised it after paying and doing the tour – when I went back to Viator’s website, I realised the webdesign is made in purpose to mislead the user.
The cable car was not available – I understand is not your fault but that should be explained and must be in the information that in Nov/Dec the cabbie car is not working.
The train was not included.
The guide (although nice and polite) was absolutely useless – only mentioned a few words about Mont Blanc and showed where was the city centre and accompanied is on train trip.
If I wanted to purchase a bus trip, I would have buy one directly with Key tours and buy a bus ticket!! Or I would have chosen the 81,84€ tour from Viator. So, the way you promote the 113,90€ tour is deceitful and dishonest.

Worth every penny even though the cable cars weren’t working it gave us extra time to explore chamoix. The train ride was fantastic.The views and landscape were unforgettable.. Very well organised and staff and driver very helpful. No question went un answered. Fantastic experience.
