They make u to pay for everything even water when u pay top dollar for a day trip they didn’t write about it they serve u lunch but for drink u have to pay for my bottle of water get lost from stuff they took 30 minutes to realise to just give one other instead to make a drama anyway atmosphere there is beautiful but with a price .

I wish Viator would have rescheduled our day trip to Castaway Island. It was cloudy when we left Port Denarau, but about 45 minutes out to sea, a torrential rainfall started and continued a good portion of the day. It was scary getting from the catamaran onto the dingy at sea during this kind of rainfall. We were drenched from head to toe and my daughter described the experience as horrific and I agree! Once on the island, like I said it rained most of the day and then lunch took 2 hours! By the time that was done, we didn’t have much time to enjoy the island. My daughter wanted to snorkel and when we went to get the snorkel gear and had it in hand and then we were asked if we had paid the $35.00 deposit that we knew nothing about. When we said no, we were told that we would have to go to front desk to pay and then come back to get snorkel gear. Under normal circumstances that would not have been a big deal, but since we only had a 1/2 hour left, that would have eaten up most of that time. I was extremely disappointed by this, since we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of any of the water sports due to the rain.
I know that Viator is not responsible for the weather, however, when I called the day before to confirm, I asked about the weather because rain was in the forecast, if we should reschedule and the lady on the phone said that the weather would be good. I honestly feel that we wasted $800.00 and a day of our vacation.

The staff of South Sea tour are great. Very friendly. However there were tons of construction on the island, blocking a lot of areas and creating TONS of noise. Very hard to relax. I wish they had informed us about the noise.
The beach is beautiful but full of seaweeds so swimming is not really an option

By the time day-trippers arrived there was not a single beach chair available. I wanted to sit and admire the beautiful beach and read a good book but ended up sitting in the restaurant so I could find a chair. I paid $170 Canadian to sit in a restaurant. I might as well just stayed in my own hotel (which is on a beach) and saved my money. Will be writing to your head office about this as soon as I am back.

I loved Castaway. It’s a great day trip and destination to get away from the main island. However, the day cruise is not cheap. And it’s a hassle that the fuel surcharge is not built into the ticket price. Lunch was included in the cruise and we found it to be more than we really wanted to eat. Taking that out would lower the price, and we could then just order from the restaurant as we wish. Day guests are going to spend on other things such as the snorkelling trip we did, so the resort should not need to insist on building this into the cruise price if that is the case. The South Seas rep stuck very closely with us for much of the day, and that was somewhat unnecessary and annoying.

Oh the day cruise was well worth the price and journey to the beautiful Cast Away Island. It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and HOT AF, the beach water was at a perfect temperature and so was the pool. The buffet was superb! The staff were extra friendly. I love how family oriented the island is and they cater to everyone. Every part of the day cruise was a 20/10. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to stay a few nights at this Island. All the included activities were so much fun. We were having second thoughts about going but it was such a relief we didn’t. It would’ve been a huge regret!

The overall experience was good. Pick up from Ramada Hotel was smooth but we waited in the long like to collect hand wristbands to go Castaway island. On the way to castaway ferry journey was good. Island catering service was good. Kayaking and snorkeling were free. On the way back from Castaway island to port denarau was delayed due to many stops in the other islands. Over all experience was good I must say price is way to expensive compared to buying tickets at the Port Denarau, Fiji. I hope Viator will reduce price. The original price per person at Port Denarau is 229 FJD. Viator charged us 1.5 times of original tour package in Castaway island.

Viator is the worse platform. I was supposed to be charged $280 but they charged me $424 and they didn’t want to refund me or to understand me. Be careful with this platform because I booked 4 trip and for the four trip they took me at least $100 more than they have to charge me.

The Fijian islands are breathtaking and our day visit to castaway island was amazing. Our tour guide Mary was lovely and looked after us the whole day. The trip out there was 90mins but worth it once we were there. We snorkeled, kayaked and had a buffet lunch, all which was included in the price. The best day we’ve had in a long time and the Fijian hospitality is second to none! Would recommend this trip to anyone as you don’t be disappointed!

Boat is a ferry, which cruises from one island to another. Food is buffet. A lot of seagrass, a lot of seacucumbers, not many fishes, staff had smiles, but no understanding of making tourism and hosting. For european people a smile is too little for this price, it was more or less a boattour. And be aware, that Cast-away Island is not the filmset of Castaway with Tom Hanks, thats Monuriki, Castaway is a simple island. Positiv its possible to take sunbeds at the pool. But therefore you dont go to fiji island, right?
