The cruise was good but what proceeded the ecperience was unacceptable. A few days before the cruise we were informed that the cruise was cancelled so we had to reschedule our holidays and then 2 days before the rescheduled day we were sent some photos of a wooden boat that had nothing to do with the boat advertised on viator which we had booked. It took us two days of constant messaging and a lot of stress and disappointment to actually manage to have the cruise we had booked. Unacceptable! I would recommend viator to check a bit more carefully the companies and tourist agents it is advertising! Except for this, the transportation to and from the cruise boat eas problatic as well as we had to wait for ages!!!People are planning their holidays with a view to relax and have fun and not to argue with tourist agents in order to get what they have paid for!!!

While I highly recommend taking a RIver Nile cruise, if you can avoid the boat “Kira” and travel agency “Tutal Travel”, it would be in your best interest. The logistics of the trip were we were supposed to be picked up in Aswan. I emailed Tutal Travel where we were staying and got no response. So the day before our tour, Wednesday,I phoned Tutal Travel, spoke with a gentelman there, who said he would call me back in 1 hour.
I am still waiting for his call. If not for the efforts of the guesthouse owner where we stayed at Nubian Village, all would have been lost. Tour was supposed to start at 11:00 Thursday. Still no word on pickup. So we arranged for a water taxi to the boat docks to see if we could find our boat. But we were never given the name of the boat, and there are dozens of boats parked there, so it was a needle in a haystack situation, whithout having the needle. So we water taxied back to Nubian Village, and by this time is is getting to be around 12:00 PM. After a couple of hours working on Plans B and C, and the owner of the Guest House still trying to get ahold of Tutal Travel, he finally reached them, (They had shut their phone off. Really.) Tutal Travel dispatched a water taxi to deliver us to the boat which it did. We got to the boat around 2:00 PM, a few anxious hours after pickup time. At the end of the cruise we were supposed to have transportation to the Luxor Airport at 9:00 AM for our flight our at noon. The boat concierge tried calling Tutal Travel numerous times to arrange our pickup, but to no avail. Again Tutal Travel had shut off their phone! So we arranged our own transportation to the Luxor Airport, and made it in plenty of time.
As for the boat, “Kira”, well, she should have been retired after the Vietnam War. Carpets were filthy, the shower curtain in our cabin was not long enough, creating a two inch flood in the bathroom whenever we showered, there was someone elses’ used toothbrush in a water glass in the bathroom when we arrived, and the TV in our room did not work. And on the second night, a water main on the second deck started leaking, sending out enough water to displace the people in the cabin across from us and next to us because of the flooded floor. We were lucky that the water did not seep into our cabin. The boat was full, so I do not know what happened to the displaced cabin occupants. They joked we were on the Titanic!
Just an old, tired boat to be avoided. We had to pass through 2 or 3 boats to get to shore at night, and all of the other boats seemed much newer and nicer than “Kira”.
Now for the good. The crew of “Kira” was outstanding. They were efficient, helpful, and very pleasant. All except the massage therapist, who kept stalking me to get a massage. Pretty creepy. I guess the 45 times I said no was not enough. The food was good, nothing special, but very tasty and lots of good selection. You won’t go hungry.
The actual sailing down the RIver Nile was a great experience. The sights along the river were amazing and the cruise itself was very relaxing. But be very careful about who you book with and what boat you go on.

Our trip was very memorable and I recommend if considering. The boat was gentle, to be sailing on the Nile was amazing, our rooms were comfy cozy and the food was great, many choices and staff were great. Not all of our guides were great however. Bring your own water! Anyways, its something we would consider doing again for the future. 2 nights 3 days was our duration and it was enough. Enjoy!

This tour nice and good gor people who want take a break with nice 👌walking around. However, tour operator was worst arrangement and commitment with pick-up service. They didn’t give any information of the drop service in Luxor when this tour was finished. Nobody never show up and answered to my phone/messages. I had to wait outside more than 2 hours without any support. I didn’t receive support from Viator as well. I had to pay extra money for moving to the airport usd 15. It’s terrible experience for us. Will claim to Viator and the travel operator as well to get refund. Recommend strongly Nile River tour. But. Not this tour operator.
