I never got to enjoy the trip, at the first stop after 1.5 hrs, I went to the bathroom and when I came out of the train station the bus was gone. They left without me and all I did was use the restroom.

My kids (ages 25 and 18) and I thoroughly enjoyed the Romantic Road Tour from Frankfurt to Rothenburg. We met at the Frankfurt HBF and boarded a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Keiko, our guide was very informative, talking to us about the history of the region and her personal experiences hiking the Romantic Road. We stopped at Weikersheim first for about a half hour, then Rothenburg where we stayed for 3 hours. We lucked out with a Renaissance Festival occurring during our visit, complete with a parade and artisan booths. The last stop was Wurzburg to see the Residence church and gardens. Generally, the town visits were self-guided on our trip, but that worked out for us to choose a great eating spot and do what we wanted to do.
