The entire tour was awesome. Our guide, Karen, was absolutely fantastic, sharing her extensive knowledge of the area with the group.

We throughly enjoyed this tour saw lots of beautiful scenery Gorges and serene waterholes. The most amazing colours in the rock walls. Our guide/bus driver/chef Karen was very informative and very organised. It was a special day.

MAJOR HEALTH ISSUE with an EMU RUN Tour out of Alice Springs.
The driver/ guide James was great – very knowledgeable and enthusiastic commentary.
On the tour itself the sights were amazing.
After the bus got going it was clear there was a sanitary problem. The smell on the bus was a disgrace. There was a disgusting smell of human waste and effluent from the (broken? full? Toilet system). Truly revolting which got worse as we travelled. After many guests complained some action was taken and things improved a little at the Standley Chasm after some form of chemical treatment was applied. For the remainder of the day the bus smelled of a chemical toilet.
The operator person who put this bus into service for the day compromised the health of their customers and at the same time their reputation.
I completed the online survey on the bus. And also have sent separate feedback directly to EMU RUN Tours on their website. I have heard nothing back and still await a reply.
Their poor attention to health ruined what should have been an outstanding experience.
Again, the bus driver/guide James and sights were great.
But still waiting to hear from EMU RUN Tours ??

Great way to see so many wonderful sites. The tour covers a lot of territory, it’s a comfortable way to travel whilst hearing the history of the land. The sites you visit are spectacular, truly magnificent ancient places. Highly recommend this tour.

The last swimming spot was so irresistible, I jumped in wearing shorts and a top! Great end to a fantastic day.

  7. Iuliana_S

Great experience with many places to see. We loved the scenery and also loved swimming in one of the gorges visited. Plus, as a bonus, we saw wallaby in the Wilde. Fantastic guide Lynne, with energy and passion. We loved it!

This is a great day tour to sign up for. Good value for money that allows you to get a good chance to enjoy a part of the outback that is truly spectacular. Emu Run Experience organised it very well, and our guide Felipe was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Swimming in the gorges was amazing. Magnificent scenery and great walks. The tour guide was great and only having 15 people on the tour meant that it was friendly and intimate

Most visited places had real interest for me. Nice landscape, nice nature. Sad not to have more time to enjoy all what is available in the area.
    Will have to return…

Mark the tour guide is 5 stars. The lunch is two stars. viator support is one star. Customer service with viator is lacking.

  12. Christian_H

Not happy at all that due to ppppppwildfire/s a full day tour with lunch was cut down to a half day tour without lunch. Compensation/refund for such not forthcoming yet.
Having said that, the half day tour was excellent with amazing scenery and views. Guide ‘Bluey’ and assistant Miguel were very knowledgeable, professional and excellent guides.

  13. Gustavo_W

Well organised. Weather worked to our advantage. Nice and cool. Water holes were the highlights! Hikes were totally
    Manageable, suitable for all abilities!

  14. Katrina_B

I enjoyed seeing the landscape especially Simpson’s Gap and the gorge. I enjoyed the lunch with the views.

  15. Jazmin_H

    Tour guide Karen was fantastic.
Got to learn about history, birds, plants, land formations.
Saw beautiful areas and got to walk in nature (not too far)
Weather was beautiful in April, warm but not too hot
I would do this tour again

The walks and amazing scenery are a must to see! Karen, our guide, was personable and full of information about the area and the wildlife.

Loved the multiple sites, the informative and entertaining commentary by driver/guide Karen. A full, wonderful, day! (Had thought about driving all that ourselves, but this was so much more relaxing!)

My sister and I had a great time on this tour. Connie, our driver/guide was terrific. She provided information about where we were going and what we would see in a friendly manner. She always made sure everyone was having a good time. All the walks were easy going (especially for someone who has knee problems). The lunch was enough to fill us up and she was always encouraging us to drink water to stop becoming dehydrated. A very caring lady. This tour gave us a great insight into the West MacDonnell ranges and its rich history.

The spectacular scenery of the mountains ranges in natural iron oxide colour which is so attractive and eye catching.

we saw fascinating magic places. Not too rushed
The only thing I would complain about is the coach John, he talked too much about everything and anything. Too loud and was rude when some of the passengers would talk. He was asked to turn the volume down and he wasnt happy. Some of us wanted a bit of time out on the way back to enjoy the scinery.
