I had a fantastic day out yesterday celebrating a friend’s birthday while exploring the Yarra Valley and all the delicious produce it has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed each location we visited. We had a fabulous tour guide named Margaret who was very friendly and explained the history of the area. The only negative was the bus was a bit small, with 24 passengers on board and not much space to put your purchases. I do recommend this trip and will definitely use Go West Tours again.

Fantastic tour with a great host Chris H, highly recommend.
Great combination of food and wine, Yerring station was a highlight.

Really good tour informative interesting locations. Tastings were well presented. Was not rushed during tour

Ross was very friendly and capable. There were 24 participants who all got on well which was nice. But 24 people is not quite what I’d call a small group. We went to 6 businesses altogether (1 local produce shop, 3 wineries, 1 cheese shop and 1 chocolate shop). It felt a bit rushed. Perhaps it didn’t help that we went on a Saturday but after tastings there was little time to think about what you might like to purchase or sample anything else. The chocolate shop was insanely busy and loud. Very difficult to hear the employee tell us what chocolate she was giving us to sample and the inflexible amount of time available there led to ‘smash and grab’ purchasing after tasting. There was certainly no time to line up for an ice cream.

“Small group” ecotour……25 in the group – NOT small
Crammed into a bus with minimal room for purchases.
    Nothing Eco about it either
The first stop set the tone – fruit “tasting” was essentially just a trip to the grocery store. We shared ONE apple and ONE nectarine each cut onto 25 wafer thin slices, plus 25 small strawberries. No information was provided.
The guide Sherif was fun, and played the didgeridoo well, but didn’t provide much information
We will be avoiding Go West tours in the future

Wine tasting, lunch and a good day had all round. Great tour guide Rach. The chocolate tasting capped it off.

Whole trip was super, highly recommend. Chris H was was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable- give him 5stars.
Only negative was strawberry farm- we were offered half a strawberry each, along with a paper thin slice of pear and peach😂😂😂😂😂
Everyone agreed this was pitiful and bad marketing. However the shop itself did have a super range of local produce.

Beautiful scenery, great wine, very relaxing day. The tour guide Raquel was knowledgeable and clearly enjoys her job. She went out of her way to accomodate people’s plans post tour and facilitate our drop off.
Laid back tour but worth it.

Our tour guide was good and the wine tour was enjoyable. The lunch was great but wished we had time for coffee.

Matt the driver was a great personality to take us on this trip. We loved the cheese place. Lunch was great. Good choice of wineries. Yering Station winery had great wines. Small groups are great to travel with. We had a very enjoyable day.

Had such a wonderful time wine tasting. The cheese and chocolate stops were also such a treat. Lunch was delicious and the two Dave’s were delightful! Highly recommend.

The wineries were all good and Red our guide was excellent even if some of his jokes were pretty bad that added to the enjoyment of the day

We had an enjoyable tour of the Yarra Valley with our bus captain, Rob. He was on-time and well organised, the selected vineyards were beautiful, and the lunch options were delicious. The seats on the bus were rather cramped, and it was a full house of 20+ pax for our “small group”. A great outing nonetheless, despite the drizzle and grey clouds.

    Our guide Debbie was amazing.
She explains well and is super friendly..
    Love it

A great balance of food and wine experience stopping at some great wineries. Definitely worth the money and so well priced compared to other similar companies.

  18. Brenda_T

Excellent tour with 3 wine tastings, cheese and chocolate tastings. Wish there was more time for shopping at the chocolate factory. Thanks Rob for the tour

Was a wonderful day out, met some great people to share the experience. The only downside would be that I would suggest a little more time be allocated to the lunch stop, we found it rushed.

Raquel was a great tour leader. Very knowledgeable about the area and so enthusiastic. The locations visited were all very worthwhile. A great trip to explore the local produce.
