One of the best days ever! Our tour guide, Abulrahman was fantastic and patient and kind and caring. The trip was incredible and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone who loves the outdoors!

  2. Emma_S

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this day trip! Abdulrahman was an excellent guide, very friendly, a great driver, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable during the Wadi Shab hike and at Bimmah Sinkhole. Both places were gorgeous and unlike anything we’d experienced! A delicious lunch was served as well. Would highly recommend!

  3. Roger_R

We had a very knowledgeable & friendly tour guide! We were all very tired at the end of the day, but had a long, exciting, & fun time swimming.

  4. Peter_E

I’m not the biggest fan of organized tours but really enjoyed this one. The guide, Abulrahman was great. The lunch included was phenomenal and overall it was a really fun day.

  5. FARRAH_K

This was an amazing tour. I cannot recommend it enough. Our tour guide Abdullah was great from start to finish. Definitely something to do when in Oman.

  6. Joe_G

A little more intense than expected, especially the swimming distance, if like me, you just dip into the sea a few times a year.
Our guide was informative & helpful especially over some of the slippier rocks & stones.
We were a party of 6 which was good but the presence of many other groups make it a little crowded at times.
If you’re reasonably fit & like walking over rough terrain to wade & swim to a waterfall with picturesque scenery along the way, then this is a trip for you

I’m not a good swimmer so my initial goal was just to have nice photos. When I got there, there was an option to rent a life vest (which I took). I had the experience to swim up into a cave and climb some rocks beside a waterfall. Also got to go inside a sink hole. In the end, the trip was better than I expected. Thank you to our tour guide Abdurahman.

Honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Abdulrahman was a great tour guide who provided us with sandwiches and water as it was Ramadan. The tour is spectacular, to take full advantage you must go swimming after the hike!

This is an incredible beautiful part of the world and highly recommended. My only caution is that it needs to be clearer just how physical this trip is and a greater caution to safety. The water is really deep and you get seperated as a group along the way, so there are potential safety risks. Otherwise, it is phenomenal.

Swimming in the valley is really challenging and funny. Journey was also fast and good. Tour guide Abdullah lead the group well. People in the group were friendly and talktative. Catering was also well considered with sandwiches, snacks, fruits… Thanks for everthing.

It was a nice hike, eventhough it was quite hot. But we got rewarded…to take a bath and swimming in the pools was amazing. The water had the perfect temperature. Important is to wear swimmingshoes. Our guide Abdul Rahman did a good job.

Driver was a bit late, but other than that, the day went smoothly. Abdulrahman (our guide) was friendly, professional, informative. The wadi is a bit of a drive, a 30 sec boat ride and a hike up. the hike was about 45 mins and relatively easy. I am not in the best of shape and I made it pretty easily. the hike is not difficult, however, the way is rocky and you will need study hiking shoes. The swim in the wadi is worth it though. all around a lovely day spent with Rahman! thank you.

Amazing trip and exactly what I was looking for as a solo traveler! Abdullah was so kind and knowledgeable. We had a group with different hiking abilities, and he made sure that everyone was okay and took breaks as needed. Important to know that the rocks can be slippery depending on the rain that week; I saw people wear all kinds of shoes but was glad I had hiking boots. If you don’t have water shoes, purchase some on the drive there (Abdullah stopped at a store and suggested this, very good idea). You don’t want to swim and wade in the wadi barefoot. The current is moderately strong, especially near the waterfall at the end, so I don’t recommend this if you aren’t a comfortable swimmer (you can rent a life vest if desired). The sinkhole was a cool experience too, but I was glad we spent most of the time at Wadi Shab.

Abdullah was very informative and helpful, it was a great experience!
He carefully kept track of the whole group during the hike.

if I have chance, I will definitely do it again

Wonderful experience! Our guide Mahmood really made the difference with his knowledge on the place and trekking abilities : making our trip fun, safe & memorable. We couldn’t recommend him more! Best guide we had!

Our Guide was the best , made sure everyone was ok during the whole trip . The reason we do these tours is to experience something different and both destinations did that , amazing and unforgettable.
If I can , I highly ,highly recommend reef shoes ( really needed ) ,a dry bag to put some personal items in , as you wade through chest deep water sometimes, a Go pro or waterproof camera .Do NOT bring your good camera or you won’t enjoy the experience. Hat, sunscreen and 2 bottles of water ( take your rubbish back with you ).
Lunch at a typical Omani restaurant was delicious.

Our tour guide Mahmood was great. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. He made sure everyone was safe but also having a good time. He was also very considerate and exemplified the best of Oman.
Our tour started with about a 1-hour drive to a rest stop. There, guests could purchase provisions such as water shoes and snacks. (I did not purchase water shoes as I used a sturdy pair of sandals that are good for hiking and would stay attached to my feet while swimming – this worked well for me.) This was also an opportunity to use the restroom.
It took about another hour to get to the wadi and the start of the trail. There were restrooms that one could use for changing into swimming gear. All valuables were left in the car at this point. Anything that isn’t waterproof should be left in the car.
Suggest to put on sunscreen here as well as the sun is quite intense during the hike.
Life jackets can be rented for 1 OMR here but they seem to only take cash.
A very short boat ride (cost included with tour) starts the trek. The hike is about 45 minutes long but it crosses water where one may need to wade in waist deep water. There are many great photo spots during the hike.
At the end of the trail, there is a place for you to leave gear you don’t want to bring swimming, including tshirts from the hike or sunscreen for the return trip.
Thus starts the swimming portion. There are essentially 3 pools connected by short walks in between. There are some deep parts so those who are unsure about their swimming abilities, it may be a good idea to use a life vest. There are also several places where the rocks underneath the water is slippery so follow your guide and take care when on rocks, even above the water.
At the 3rd pool, there is an entrance to the cave. The passage is quite narrow so you may need to wait your turn entering and exiting. Once inside, there is a waterfall. There is a rope that you can climb to the top of the waterfall to slide down. There is also another narrow passageway beside the waterfall (you need to go underwater) to get behind the waterfall. Suggest to have something at the car to dry any wet clothes you may have (remember you may need to wade in water on the trail back to the car).
This is an out and back experience and the round trip takes about 2.5 hours depending on the speed of your group. Physical and technical difficulty I would rate easy to moderate.
After the wadi, we went to a local restaurant for lunch. This was nearby so it was only a 5 minute drive. The lunch was a set menu, shared with others on the tour. The protein was hummus and chicken.
Lunch took about 30 minutes. Afterwards we drove another 30 minutes to the sinkhole. It was not as big as I expected but it was a worth a visit. After spending 30 minutes there, we drove directly back to Muscat.
Mahmood made a big difference as he kept everyone on time and safe. He was also knowledgeable about where to go and what to do.
I recommend this tour and a bonus if you can get Mahmood.

One of my favorite experiences in Oman! Before our trip we were contacted with everything we needed to bring as well as time of departure from our hotel. The guide Abraham (not sure if I spelled his name right, sorry) was an amazing tour guide. This was a beautiful and breath taking experience! Be prepared for a small hike which can take 40 minutes to an hour depending on the speed of the group. After Wadi Shab head over to Bimmah Sinkhole for another relaxing swim in fresh water. Thank you so much for a great time!
