Guides were fantastic, informative and safety-conscious. Great way to get a “lay of the land”, recommend taking this tour early in your visit and you can return to locations that pique your interests.

Really enjoyed the cycle tour around Vancouver – it is the best way to see the city if you are only visiting for a few days. Frank was our tour guide and he was excellent, sharing lots of interesting facts about the city. I highly recommend this trip to others

Great tour! Lana was amazing! Knowledgeable, witty, friendly, and very safety conscious. A great way to experience the city in one day!

Marlo was exceptional as our tour guide. We enjoyed the entire tour. Marlo was very thorough and she was able to answer any questions we had.
Christine_W –
We truly enjoyed seeing Vancouver this way! Our tour guide, Marian, was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. She made sure everyone was doing well and guided us through your beautiful city. I would have enjoyed more time in Granville Island but understand there is so much to see in five hours. Thank you for a great day!!
John_D –
This was a great tour. The tour group isn’t too big, the bikes were in great condition, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the tour itself was well paced and covered so much of the Vancouver area.
jerome_e –
Paulo, the guide was insightful, entertaining, gave us tremendous perspective on so much of the city’s history and neighborhoods including its foundation with the First Peoples. I came up from the Seattle area just for the day and I was sure glad I did. (Not excited about the Viator assistance)

This was a fantastic leisurely ride exploring most of Vancouver (Stanley Park, Granville Island, seaboard). Kim was an amazing tour guide for our small group! She was knowledgeable, answered questions, was safe. Perfect for couples or families with older children.

When we arrived for the tour they had our bikes set-up and ready to go for us. They fitted us with helmets and we were off. I want to add that I was easily able to upgrade my bike to an e-bike since I hadn’t ridden in a while – it was definitely worth the extra cost. If you are considering not doing this because you aren’t 100%, upgrade to the e-bike which makes this very doable for anyone!
We had an amazing tour guide, Harley, who made the trip so informative and insightful from architecture, culture, relevant history, and so much more. We saw amazing sites, vistas, visited a forest, saw a beaver dam and then went to lunch and had time for bit of quick shopping. We only had one day in Vancouver and feel like we got to see so much of the city because of this amazing tour!

I had a great time on the bike tour! Astrid is an amazing tour guide. Very personable and energetic. I got to see most of the city and she filled our stops with stories, fun facts and good humor.

Harley was A+++ as a guide! A friend and I booked the tour to get the lay of the land to kick off our trip. We were thrilled with the experience. Harley was a great story teller, captured great moments along the ride and did a fantastic job helping us get to see Vancouver!

I guess the most memorable part of my experience was the very first thing we saw: 2 junkies on fentanyl with the bare rear ends hanging out while they were bent over on the sidewalk a few blocks from where the tour started. From there things went uphill, fortunately, but unfortunately, our tour guide, Mika, actually over talked, which caused us to always be in a rush and ultimately we barely had time for lunch. The over talking would have been forgivable if she had not been constantly pushing a very left wing political agenda. While this was somewhat interesting to hear, as I had bever before encountered a “true believer,” she finally went too far. The last part of the tour takes you through Chinatown and Gastown, which she told us, just as we were ready to head in that direction, was very impoverished, “very dark, but through darkness comes light.” She indicated that if we had concerns we should raise them. A man outside of our group approached to tell me that those areas were extremely dangerous, and as a local since 1982, the locals know better than to go there. I stated loudly and several times that I would not be going there. Mika ignored me, perhaps she did not hear me, but what seems more accurate is that she could not believe that someone was saying no to going there with her. Finally I was able to tell her that I simply wanted to go the most direct way back to the shop to return my bike. She told me that the way she was taking us was the most direct way. I responded that I then wanted to go the safest way. She refused to provide me with a paper map, as per my request. She tried to show me on her phone how to get back to the shop. Finally, she said she could not leave me there without an escort and so the whole group would have to wait until someone came and escorted me on bike back to the shop. The woman who escorted me back stated that they never stop when they travel through those neighborhoods, as there is a needle dispensary there, and the drug use might make some people uncomfortable. Yet somehow, my escort and I made it back to the shop before the rest of the group. At the shop, I was asked to complete an “incident report” and to do so I needed only to fill out my personal information and sign the bottom. The shop attendant would complete the incident details for me. What???? Bottom line: this company, Cycle City Tours, asks you to sign a liability waiver and could care less about then putting you at risk for serious harm. This tour company should not be allowed to operate and Mika in particular, should not ever have responsibility for the welfare of another human being.

This was a memorable bike tour ! I can’t think of a better way to get to know the wonders of Vancouver and understand something of its amazing history and First Nations’s inspiring legends. Our tour guide Larissa was simply fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the city history, culture and natural landscape! She has very good vibes and helped us to get the best out of the tour. Highly recommended !
Tanya_K –
Everyone working at Cycle City helping with the tour was helpful and friendly. My group had Frank as our leader. He did a great job explaining the different areas we went and answered all of our questions with grace. Stanley Park is such a big place it was nice to have someone take us to some highlights and tell us about other areas that are also worth visiting. Make sure you bring water with you because you’ll get thirsty from all the riding.
Delia_C –
This tour was spectacular! Herman so knowledgeable and fun. We felt like we got a really good introduction to Vancouver and it’s different areas/unique neighborhoods. 99% of the tour takes place in bike lanes. Nothing scary about the biking process in Vancouver at all! We are totally in love with the city!

We had a lovely sunny day for the bike tour and enjoyed Stanley Park and Granville island. The tour guide was knowledgable.
The group size of 12 we felt was too big particularly on the city roads, which is why we have given 4 stars.

It was such a beautiful day for a bike ride. Nick was our guide. He was amazing and he soo much knowledge to share with us.
Jennifer_H –
Our guide Frank was amazing!! It’s always difficult to choose what type of tour to go on when you’re trying to cover as much area as possible in as little time. The 5 hours we spent exploring the Vancouver was so comprehensive. We had a very diverse group of riders from an experience standpoint and Frank adjusted so well. Love that all the landmarks included a bit of history, a bit of lore and bit current events. It was truly a good balance of nature, culture and city

Our guides name was Greg. He was extremely knowledgable about the city, and we learned a lot at our various stops along the way. Some things that we are glad we did. We toured in October, so we were glad that we were layers and had mitts and gloves with us. Also, be sure to bring your own water. Couple of comments would be that it would be great to have access to washrooms more frequently, as well as to keep the stops a little bit shorter. At this time of year it was a bit cool so the standing while listening got to be kind of cold. Otherwise, definitely would do this trip again, and recommended hands down!
Ann_M –
Nick was an awesome guide as we toured Vancouver. Ate lunch on Granville Island that was a 45 min stop which was very cool. Questions asked and answered by Nick who was full of history on the 13 mile trek.
Thuy_N –
Excellent bike tour of over 5hrs which covered a lots great sites in Vancouver in a short time. Sunny weather in Nov was a bonus! Greg – our guy is so informative & funny! Will come back to visit Granville Island & Gastown in more detail. Great tour!
