Had a week to see San Antonio so this was a great way to fill up a day. Really enjoyed Presidential tour more than I thought I would. Fredericksburg was nice too..
Patricia_K –
A perfect day trip from San Antonio. Loretta was a great guide and driver and we traveled in a comfortable transit van. We enjoyed all of the stops we made in the Hill Country and feel this was an excellent value!
Wendy_F –
All wonderful l Loretta fantastic needed more time winery
Great history respect lbj great up close cattle at ranch
Laura_B –
Loretta is a great guide. She has much knowledge about the areas we travelled. She has a great personality and is easy to talk to. The Hill country is a delight to visit. In Fredericksburg, know the shops and or restaurants you want to visit to utilize your time appropriately. Research before your trip. You will be provided a walking map and a brief overview of the main street shops. LBJ stop was great both in town Johnsonville and the ranch. The LBJ house will not be open for tours until 2025, according to a Park Ranger. The ranch and walk around the property is great, however. Our drive to the house allowed us up close sitings of cows and deer. Lauchanbauch was a gem. Musicians are there every day performing.

Domingo is helpful and knowledgeable about the Hill Country. He drives with safety in mind. We learned a lot about LBJ, his ranch, and Air Force 11/2.

The whole tour was very enjoyable ! The LBJ ranch was very interesting. A lot has changed since then. Overall the tour was a hit.
Sandra_M –
Loretta was a great guide. Loved LBJ ranch and the Johnson National Park. Fredericksburg was good spot for lunch.
PATRICIA_G –
I absolutely loved the entire experience. Jose was a great guide for the day. He was informative talking about LBJ’s youth, recommendations for lunch in Fredericksburg…everyone chose German, the stop in Luckenbach, and of course the LBJ ranch to end the day. It went quickly, wished we had more time!
Larry_F –
You need to make sure that all handicap on your have the ability to can in and out of the van . On our trip there were 3 of us that had handicap issues.
Kaylen_N –
Loved Luckenbach, Texas. Would recommend this trip. Would like to see inside of LBJ home. We would go on this again when home is able to be viewed.

Lorraine picked us up at our hotel door and started our fantastic day. She was very informative, joined in with our banter, and made the day so fun. Took us to the National Park with LBJ’s birthplace where Park Ranger Heide gave a very informative but fun tour of the house. Next was LBJ’s Ranch and home. Surprising. Off to lunch where Lorraine made a recommendation and reservations at a former 1800’s haunted hospital that served excellent food. Some shopping in the town also. All 6 of us said it was high on our list of activities we have visited over our years of touring cities. Recommend this tour!

Loretta was an excellent guide; knew all of the interesting history and special places to stop! Excellent tour; highly recommend!
LU_W –
Loretta was a good driver! I would have liked more time at the Visitor Center so I could have seen the boyhood home and the film.
I was disappointed that we couldn’t tour the home and was disappointed that we weren’t told where to walk to see the outside of the home.
The tour was not as good as it was explained on the website.
Suzanne_D –
It would have been helpful for me to have an overview of our schedule upon boarding the van. More time at the LBJ historical site would have been appreciated. There was not enough time to visit the building and view the film as well as experience the ranger presentation of the boyhood home. It was an either/ or proposition. It should be noted that the LBJ Ranch home was not available for visitors as it was closed for repairs. The hill country was lovely.
Eric_C –
Good tour to learn the history of LBJ and Hill Country. I live in Texas and did not realize all of the goods things LBJ did during his time in public office. Also enjoyed our time in Fredericksburg.
JKAcker –
We had a wonderful day with our guide, Loretta! She was welcoming, professional and so knowledgeable about Texas history! She’s also a great driver! Wish we could give her more than five stars!

We enjoyed the historical content of the LBJ sights. Fredericksburg was worth the stop but needed more time. Vineyard was great, could skip the peach farm. Loretta was an excellent driver and guide
