I booked the tickets online which is a rather efficient way of jumping the queue. However, if the weather on the day is not too good, you will have to grin and bear it.
The staff there is amazing. Extremely helpful and professional in their approach. I live in this country and was taking a visitor to the Tower and I am constantly proud of the way people in the hospitality industry engage with visitors.

It was a confusing route at the 5th level food court because the directional signs were not clear – not the Sydney Eye’s fault. I’m thankful for the help received from a f&b staff. The Sydney Eye counter staff were friendly and polite. The lift ride was exhilarating. Unfortunately the lift (double-deck) has an in-car viewing camera which didn’t work. The view from the tower was a let down because of the ongoing bushfires and you really became hazy beyond 2-3km. Attractions within Darling Harbour, The Docks, Circular Quay had made up for it somewhat. There was a nice 4-D big screen video clip prior to the lift ride up. I thought it was alright. And there were souvenir shops at the tower level and on your way out after the lift ride down. Good selection of gifts you’d be tempted to purchase. And yeah buy that memento “photoshop” pictures – nicely done too.

Very easy to book online, I’ve visited a twice in past, when visiting from uk.. very impressive tower! And Westfield is new since last visit.
BUT I was disappointed with the 4D cinema, it was much better when you told the history of Australia. And we sat in seats which rocked at appropriate times, and sprayed with water too.. much more entertaining.
