Event itself: the best fireworks display I’ve ever seen. Highly Recommended. But: It is questionable whether this event actually has to cost € 500. Not even long drinks were included. Again, 10-15 AUD were required for this. And then they didn’t even taste. The organization left something to be desired. It wasn’t easy until you found out from the crowd that you had to pick up a bracelet and where to get it. The boat was very full. Had there been a mass panic, it probably wouldn’t have turned out well. You had to queue forever at the buffet. There was a huge flood in the ladies’ room.

This excursion for the NYE fireworks was overpriced for the quality of what you get. The view for the fireworks was amazing, but it was so crowded it was hard to see very well, and my kids really had a hard time seeing most of it. The food was mediocre and the line was very long and didn’t move very fast because so many people were cutting the line. There wasn’t enough seating for everyone so we had to take turns sitting. At one point the downstairs ladies room had a flooded toilet so they had to close it down for a bit which left only the upstairs restroom with 2 stalls for all of the females. The description when we purchased the tickets said there was a dinner buffet and a dessert buffet. The dessert buffet didn’t exist. They only had staff walking around with trays of tiny ice cream cones.
Overall, we paid the high prices for the experience of being in the harbour for the countdown, but if I had known these things, I probably wouldn’t do it again.
