Our guide Mohammed was everything a local guide should be: on time, interesting, funny he cracked a joke, patient. A lovely man with a passion for his home town but a desire to travel and embrace the world. He helped us with the ATM and also some shopping. And his stories of Zanzibar life past and present were enchanting.

Our great tour guide, Mo Mohammed was superb, he made the tour. He was very knowledgeable and a truly great guy.
He adjusted this tour to suit our pace and nothing was too much trouble for him. He advised us where best to buy what. I would highly recommend booking this tour and if possible asking for Mo. I would not advise you doing Stone Town without a tour guide – Mo made all the difference!

The walking tour in and around Stone Town was excellent. Our guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable and knew the stories and history of all of Zanzibars sites. He picked us up at our hotel and as we were the only ones scheduled for the tour he was able to tailor it to or needs. I have 9 family members that will be visiting Dar and Zanzibar from the states and I will be booking the Stone Town Walking Tour in Zanzibar for them with Mohammed as their guide. If youre spending more than one day in Stone Town, I recommend going on the tour your first day if possible. That way if you see any little restaurants, boutiques, shops etc. that you like youll have time to return.

Great tour with Saida and Mwana, we learnt so much about the places and history of Zanzibar town. Good luck to Mwana with your internment and hope you become a tour guide soon.

Fatima made this tour the wonderful experience it was. After trying to navigate the city ourselves, myself and my girlfriend very much appreciated learning about stone town from a local. The planned attractions were very interesting, but what I loved was an opportunity to ask questions and get a better idea about the day to day life in this one of a kind part of the world.
