Tour was good until it lasted. When it was time to eat, our tour guide apparently realized the food he had prepaid for us was not going to be refunded by the other captain and they had a fight. Result, me and my wife were sent to another group to eat cold food. I had prepaid online and was not expecting this treatment. The tour guide that behaved in a crazy manner claimed to be named Mario, roughly spoke Italian but does not know how to treat Italian guests.
Mario – hai la testa vuota, devi imparare a rispettare i clienti che pagano, animale.

I really recommend this full day trip out on the sea! We had a great guide called Juma and he was really very serviceminded, attentive and nice. First we went on a boattrip to Prison Island and we saw the great turtles and Juma guided us around the island. We then continued to Nakupenda Beach and snorkled there for a couple of hours. Juma and other guides prepared fresh fruits, water and seafood lunch for us with grilled shrimps, squid, octopus, lobster and langoustine together with french fries. It started to rain hard when we were about to have lunch and Juma and all the guides tried their hardest to make it comfortable for us even though it rained. We ended up having lunch in the boat with cover so we enjoyed the lunch very much. Soon, the rain ended and we could enjoy one more snorkling in the beautiful sea before we went back to Zanzibar Island. A great tour that includes everything!

I would not book this tour again. It says English speaking, only one guy (who was not with us the entire time and he was great and very helpful) could speak English. The rest could not understand basic questions. Prison island is crowded with pushy people jumping in front of you to take a picture. Nakupenda beach was pretty. The lunch was horrible. I saw our guides burying trash and food in the sand and washing utensils and platters in sea water. I did not trust that the cleaned the fruit proper enough to eat it. It says in the tour description they will pick you up 30 minutes to an hour before the tour starts. Ours started at 8am, they told us they would pick us up at 8am, they weren’t there until 8:20. We asked the driver if he was here for us and stated the tour and he acted confused which made us feel uncomfortable riding with him and worried we weren’t in the correct taxi. The “captain” of the boat was not friendly. I was hoping booking through Vivatour that this tour would be a little bit more reliable than the ones the local people try to sell you on the beach, but it was not.

Transport parfait, ponctuel
Guide français insignifiant,
La prison et le sanctuaire des tortues, lieu extrêmement sale et mal entretenu, quant au déjeuner sur le banc de sable blanc au pas de courses, le retour par les échoppes bien ciblées…..de la ville, dommage
