Pompei and out guide in Pompei- Carlo was the only good part. The tour guide that pick us up and led the whole outing was not good and very lazy. It started by picking us up 25 min after scheduled. On a tight day trip like this, it makes a difference. We visited Ponpei first and the guide there was great. We left Pompei and drove to Sorrento to take the boat to Amalfi. Only thibg is that they didnt book tickets for a direct ferry but one that stopped at every port, soninstead of 35 minutes, it took 80. Upon arrival to Amalfi, he led us to a restaurant- likely one where he had some arrangements with. We were given then 1 hour and 20 min to eat and meet up. That was all Amalfi experience. He also didnt want to catch a later ferry. He gave ZERO history or guide in what we were seeing or experiencing. ZERO. For our party of 4, it was almost $1k for a very bland experience. Amalfi and Pompei were beautiful but no context and not enough time.

This was a fantastic day trip from Rome. Pompeii is very cool and enlightening and Positano is simply incredible!! Constantino is a great tour guide and in my estimation, the best driver in all of Italy!! He really made this trip a tremendous experience with his energy and enthusiasm – guiding us with fun facts and lively banter throughout the day, providing great spots for food and drink (limoncello!), taking us to the best places to take pictures and so on. An awesome experience we will not soon forget!!

First I will say that Teresa and Alfredo were great, Teresa, especially, keeping everyone together and on-time and being conversational, in two languages, during the travel to the venues and back. However, the Pompei experience would have been much better if we had been able to use the audio-guide. We didn’t expect to be joined into another group, most of whom had mobility issues, matched with guide who walked at a rapid pace, leaving that group behind, trying to catch up on uneven footing. There were a few mobile people who left the group midway through. The visit to Positano was too brief and, while the lunch was nice, there really wasn’t a lot of time to walk around given the amount time it took to drive there and back.

Fantastic informative tour. Great driver, escort, and guide in Pompeii. I highly recommend this tour. Despite being stuck on the highway for an excessive amount of time due to a fatality crash, we were still able to complete the entire excursion. Would highly recommend.

It was a long day but unforgettable. Traffic in Italy is terrible but the tour was worth it. The guide on the bus and at Pompei were great and the bus driver was excellent. Small tour is the only way to go.

Our tour guide Josh was superb and our driver Guiseppe drove us safely to and from Pompeii. Thanks to both of them. The choice of guide at Pompeii couldn’t have been better. Hector made our day memorable. Our impromptu ferry ride to Amalfi was fabulous – we saw the coast from an entirely different perspective. The entire day was unforgettable.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour!! Pompeii was fascinating and our guide there, Hector, brought the day-to-day at the time to life. We also enjoyed the drive down to Salerno, hearing the stories and seeing the countryside. Lastly the boat ride up the Amalfi Coast, lunch and free time to wander was superb. Our guide for the full day, Jaijan, really did a wonderful job in introducing us to these areas. She’s was friendly and fun!

Couldn’t recommend this tour more! You get to see so much in such a short period of time. The Pompeii tour with a local guide was informative and wonderful. Giulia was the best guide and set up a wonderful lunch experience for us on the beach of Positano. Drivers arrived on time and were courteous and skilled at navigating the mountains of the Amalfi coast. . Even though the drivers are extremely skilled, the road is windy so if you experience car sickness you may want to pack medicine. We loved this tour!!

Our Assistant, JB, and our driver, Pino, made it a great day. Friendly, professional, and personable. Pino handled traffic and tight spaces like the professional he is. JB handled logistics and kept us smiling the whole way. They picked us up promptly at the hotel, we picked up 2 other small groups in Rome and headed towards Pompeii. Roadside stop for coffee out of the way, we drove to Pompeii and had an amazing tour with an 80 year young tour guide, Hector. It was a fun and informative tour. Back to the van and on to Positano through beautiful seaside roads. Lunch in Positano on the beach and free time to see the sites, followed by limoncello tasting before getting in the van and heading back to Rome, with a photo stop in Sorrento and a rest stop for snacks/coffee on the way home. It was a great day and I strongly recommend it to anyone.

Visiting Pompeii was truly incredible. The guide for this portion was a local and he knew his stuff. The ruins are amazing and seeing how they lived was enlightening. We then traveled to Positano. I had hurt my hip and asked the tour guide how it was getting around and she had said just a few steps. She needs to learn what a “few” means. This is very hilly and many, many steps to get down and back up to the parking area. The restaurant she recommended was incredible though and some really great seafood right on the beach. All in all, I would do this again but guides really do need to be honest on the difficulty of traversing areas.
