Tsukiji, with its rich history dating back to 1935, had become cramped and outdated. Our guide, Yap was wonderful. Food was great as well as insight into the cultural mixing in Singapore. He was very considerate of my slow, cane walking husband and provided us with take out boxes when our tummies were just too full to eat any more. If you are foodie, this is a must do, especially if you are a little shy about hopping into the Hawker experience.

We had a great day on this tour – 6 hours of walking and train and bus getting around Singapore, trying many different local foods, most of which we had never tried before, and they were delicious. Our guide pointed out aspects of the many different cultures and buildings in Singapore, as well as taking us to restaurants and food stalls that we would never have tried on our own. We’ve been to Singapore before so we wanted to experience something different this time – recommended for sure.

This is a wonderful experience. Our guide was Bas, he not only provided us with great regional cuisine, but so taught us about the history of Singapore. We covered multiple regions and ethnicities of Singapore including a Hawker’s Center in Chinatown, a large Tekka in Little India and finished off with some great Arabian food. It was a hot day and our guide gave us ple;nay of breaks. You will be full and very satisfied with experience when this tour is done.

This tour was a great way to get introduced to Singapore – I always like to try to do a food/history tour first thing upon arrival in a new city.
The best food tours not only expose you to delicious food, but put in in a context with the history of the city & neighborhoods – and this tour does both. We learned a lot about the cultural make-up of Singapore as well as the history that helped shape the amazing dishes we ate. Our guide was amazing and injected a lot of his own personal experiences of growing up with these dishes.

When we booked this tour, we were expecting simply to get a feel for different flavors of Singapore and we ended up getting so much more. We also got to see the skyline from unfrequented heights, walk less traversed paths, and learned about some of the history of Singapore along the way. Yap absolutely blew our minds in this tour with the entire experience and far exceeded the expectations that we had going in. He was also flexible with us to run a few errands during our excursion. If you only have a few hours in Singapore, why not eat your way thru some of it’s areas and learn new things along the way? If you can request a specific person, Yap will absolutely blow you away (his picture taking skills are fantastic as well)!

My husband and I had the best time on our food tour with Yap! We ended up being the only ones who attended so it turned out to be a private tour of the city that was about so much more than just food! We learned all about Singapore’s history in the 3 neighborhoods we visited, as well as current life in Singapore. It was very interesting and the food was delicious! Yap was an incredible guide. He answered all of our questions so thoroughly, was so well versed on a wide variety of information about Singapore, and even helped us make a few decisions about our itinerary for the remainder of our time in Singapore. I cannot recommend this tour or Yap enough!

Our guide Anthony was fantastic! We had just one full day to tour Singapore and he delivered! As an amazing cultural ambassador, we learned so much about the history, the people, the architecture, food, and he did a great job tailoring the tour for us. The choice of sights/stops were exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the historical context he provided. The food stops and tailored meal choices were marvelous and delicious! The experience was one I’m sure we will always treasure. Thank you so much Anthony for your expert guidance! Highly recommend
Anthony and this tour!

We had our tour with Leo Loo, and he is great. He is a Singapore enthusiast, and was ready to share his knowledge of Singapore food and history throughout the tour. He’s a very kind man and has great energy. There is a ton of food to try on this tour, so pace yourselves, but our family really enjoyed it!

This tour is a wonderful way to visit various sections of the city and sample different kinds of delicious food while learning about Singapore’s history.
Mark is an amazing tour guide, an excellent story teller and ambassador for his country. His tour was interesting and entertaining, and he was happy to answer our questions and give us suggestions of other parts of the city to explore on our own.
No one in our family’s group ended the day hungry or bored after Mark’s tour. There was also a toddler in our group of 7 and Mark was good in making sure to accommodate our youngest member.

We enjoyed tasting our way through the various neighborhoods of Singapore. The diversity of the food and experiences was amazing, especially with the expert insights provided by Brian, our tour guide. We ended the day full from delicious food and with a deeper understanding of the people and food of Singapore.

The Buddhist temple and the never before food items we tried and found delicious! The guide was friendly and knowledgeable as well.

My tour guide, Bryan, was friendly, knowledgable, and offered a
fantastic tour discussing food, culture, our families, and more. We chatted for so long that we actually went over our tour time by a little. Singapore is an amazing place and this tour is not to be missed

The tour was amazing! James did an awesome job combining both historical fun facts and recent publicity with some of the food places we visited. The walking pace was perfect and we ate our fill!
