We are glad we participated in this experience but didn’t realize that during a 6 hour excursion we kayaked for less than 2 hours. There were multiple pickups in San Juan (we were the first) and some participants were running late and we had to wait for them. When we arrived there were at least 4 other groups kayaking in the bay which led to traffic jams and collisions in the mangrove passage. The guides were excellent. If I were to do this again, I wouldn’t book on the weekend and I would look for a small group experience.

The guides were really friendly and funny, the sunsets and bioluminescent plankton were stunning. What a fun little adventure!
If you’re worried about covid, know that to make sure it’s as dark as possible for the bioluminescence to be visible, there’s a single tarp that’s used to cover all of the kayaks’ occupants at one time. Bring a mask – still worth seeing.
Would definitely do this one again!

It took an hour to pick up other guests in San Juan… So we spent in total 4 hours on the van, car sicking, while kayaking tour is less than 2 hours. The tour itself is nice. But if I have another chance, I would choose a tour with one pickup location for everyone.
