This was a lovely trip. I wish we had been given a little more time at the falls so that we didn’t have to rush to the top with no time to stop for photos and enjoy the views. A shorter time at Ste Anne and the Copper shop to give more time at falls would be nice.

We left Quebec City in a double decker bus and due to traffic going to Il D’Orleans, our driver decided to to the tour in reverse order hoping traffic would clear on the bridge going to the island. (It didn’t) Our first stop was the cathedral at Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre. This cathedral remined me of many of the big cathedrals in Europe in both size opulence. Our second stop was at a Copper artisan shop. It was kind of cool, but I wouldn’t have gone out of my way for it. Our last stop since we couldn’t go to the island was Montmorency Falls. They were spectacular and worth the trip. You can take a cable car up to the top or walk up(lots of stairs).

The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. The bus arrived for pick up at the time that was published. We boarded the bus and left at the published time as well. The bus driver had a good sense of humour and was very knowledgeable about Quebec history. Our first stop was the Basillica of St Anne de Beaupre which is a beautiful historical church. We also stopped at a copper shop where the family run business creates artful copper pieces by hand. It is a dying art and this shop is the only remaining of its kind in North America. The art is still taught at a school in France. We also went to Ile d’Orleans where we stopped at a Chocolate Shop. Our final stop was Montmorency Falls which apparently are over 100 feet taller than Niagara Falls although the falls are ver narrow. After this stop we returned to our meeting place at the proper time. The tour was an excellent way to learn about the history of Quebec City in a short time. Our tour was conducted in English.
