We booked this transfer months before the coronation date was public. The pick up hotel was in the no drive zone. Instead of canceling our reservation they worked with us to find a location nearby that we could walk to and got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare.

Ahmed gathered all our heavy luggage; he insisted that he do it all. “I want you to be comfortable, and have a stress free transport to airport”
Ahmed then stated that he had a few things to share with us as to what to do upon arrival, but he wanted to save that for just before we arrived; he did not want to stress us.
Then Ahmed began sharing a wealth of interesting information about everything in our conversation, even about bits of trivia related to sights along the way. Utterly fascinating.
Then, as the airport drew near he began to do his stuff. “See that lady in the lobby in a red uniform? See out a lady in red. Don’t go buying stuff until you get through tsa. I will put all your baggage on these two carts; enter that door right over there”.
My wife and our two guests reached for our wallets without hesitation. This gentleman should be well tipped.
While just a small part of our total 19 days on a transatlantic cruise with five days in London, our time with Ahmed will be long remembered.
Air travel can be stressful; Ahmed helped take the stress away.

We had an exceptional driver- “Ahmed” he was punctual, updated us on time to the Airport; Safety, comfort, and time were his priority. on the way, he gave us a history of London and made 60 minutes seem like 20 minutes. He made the trip fun and interactive, he gave us pointers about shopping in the Airport-duty free stuff. We couldn’t resist buying souvenirs after clearing security

Our driver met us outside the front door of our hotel, put our suitcases in the trunk for us, and off we went. I booked this return trip back to the airport because the trip from the airport was so smooth. I know this experience gets mixed reviews, so I’m guessing people have had trouble with some of the vendors Viator used in the past. I did have to pay an extra 35£ for the ride to the hotel on arrival, but did not have to pay that on the return.

On June 6th, we had a transfer from our Londod hotel to Gatwick airport. We were picked up on time at 11:00 am from the Tavistock Hotel in London. However, the driver, instead of using the freeway, used the side streets of London to get to Gatwick. We had to weave through all the city traffic for about one and a half hours before we can get to Gatwick. The drive was a stressful and harrowing experience. The driver (a Portugese as he identified himself), said that the distance was shorter. The tour operator is identified in Invoice as Airtport Transfers.

I don’t believe there was a memorable moment from this experience unless you call the disappointing moments memorable. Both transfers provided us with cars that did not fit us and our luggage. We were cramped into the car with a full-sized piece of luggage…both times! We alerted Viator of the problem we had with the transfer from the Airport, but there was still a problem for the transfer back. It seems that Viator doesn’t really know what their operators are doing. I don’t think I would recommend Viator to anyone.
