The whole experience was memorable. Our driver was courteous and friendly. Our tour guide was entertaining. The one experience that my family enjoyed the most was the river cruise. We enjoyed seeing the architecture which reflected the blending of different cultures. We even saw iguanas swimming in the river!

We got to see all the highlights in a brief period of time. The tour guide/host was charming and informative. He was very well prepared and flexible as well.

Melaka sights ok, but tour company stranded me in Malaysia. Prior to trip, I repeatedly asked for cross-border assistance. Told “not to worry” and “everything will be ok”. It was NOT ok. Company never replied or gave assistance to me. I should have canceled before getting stranded. I should be due partial tour refund.

My family and I had a few days to spend in Singapore and decided to visit Malaysia for a day. We were picked up from our jotel at 7:30 pm and driven across the border to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage City. Travel time was 3 and a half hours on good roads. The van itself was comfy and the driver, Mazlan, was friendly and informative.
We met our tour guide John in Melaka and he took us to several stops in the city, visiting the state house, a couple of churches, some ruins, Chinatown, a mosque, a market and a few other sites.
The highlights of the trip were the river cruise and the delicious multi-course lunch at the Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant.
Even though most of the day was spent on the road, it was well worth it.
Note that when coming back to Singapore, travelers are advised to submit their ICA health declaration online ahead of time. This will save you time at the border.

My driver is wonderful! He was on time and very fun to have a long ride with. My local guide is friendly and knowledgeable as well. It was a very long day as it is about 4 hours from Singapore to Melaka each way. I learned a lot and was able to see quite a bit within just one day. Definitely will recommend.

Tour guide and driver were good and approachable. Melaka is a good place to visit but one day trip is not enough.

We’re supposed to arrive in Malacca around noon but not until 4:30. Driver arrived over an hour late and didn’t speak English. Had only small bite due to time so we could see things. Many things closed and limited. Substitute guide only fair and we could not see much. Finally evening rains hit so no boat tour. Management not helpful. Had small dinner but we had to pay for it ourselves as small snack counted as our meal. Everyone was now tired and left after only seeing a little in town. People we met very nice and friendly. No one told us we needed to apply for new Singapore entry permit. Very dissatisfied with trip and waste of money. Holiday weekend so travel was difficult. If told, we would have gone a different day and maybe it would have been better.

We departed Singapore at around 7:30am and arrived in Malacca at around 11am. We went on a Monday so there was no wait at the border crossing. I would recommend going on a weekday if you can. Traffic was also not bad at all, it took about 3.5 hours each way. We also stayed in Malacca until about 3:40pm, and I felt like it was plenty of time to see the highlights of the city and take a boat tour. I learned a lot about Malaysian culture and history that I did not know before. Our tour guide, Eddie, was great! He was so funny and I learned a lot. He took a bunch of pictures for us and showed us a local restaurant for lunch and it was delicious. Would love to take another tour with him if I can!

We booked this trip because Malacca sounded really interesting, and we are on a quest to go to 100 countries so a day out of Singapore to Malaysia sounded great. And Malacca is definitely an interesting place with a few sights worth seeing. Unfortunately, our guide was not particularly engaged or engaging, and his English was very difficult to follow. So he didn’t add much to the experience – we could have just gotten a driver and done this ourselves, honestly, and been happier. Also fyi, the immigration lines can be horrendous – on the way back it added 2 hours to the trip. I can’t recommend this one.

It was utterly dreadful. Having booked weeks in advance, our tour guide completely failed to turn up. We were fully refunded but it was very disappointing and it disrupted our very carefully planned schedule.

The driver and guide were absolutely wonderful people.
One thing to take note is when public holidays are on. We were unaware and as a result it took 5 yes 5 hours to get through the checkpoint from Singapore to Malaysia.
I acknowledge this is no fault of the driver or guide. I just felt really bad for the driver as he would have had an extremely long day. We still made it back to Singapore just in the nick of time at 11.45pm, so I didn’t have to change my online incoming passenger declaration.
Other than that, we still got to see everything that was in the schedule. The guide was very knowledgeable, explaining everything with such detail and he was a very happy and friendly person.
