This trip was WONDERFUL! It’s a long day but 100% worth it. Our two guides were friendly and gave a ton of historical information about the Loire and the châteaux – which I really appreciated. The wine tasting was great as well! You do have to move along through the châteaux fairly quickly to see everything, but since they let you go at your own pace you can really decide what you want to see. They give you plenty of opportunities to use the bathroom and we even stopped for coffee/tea and breakfast on our way to the Loire. Book and you won’t regret it – just wear comfy shoes 😉

As others reviewers said: yes it is rushed and yes you only have about 1 hour at each place, but realistically if you only have a day and you want to know all those places, there’s no other way. The bus only stops briefly for a restroom break and it goes as fast as it can. In Blois you either have lunch or see the town. You can’t do both. Hope you can hold your hunger if you choose the latter. By the way, in the morning there’s no stop for breakfast so buy some snacks the day before.
Our guide Mini was fine and entertaining. The bus was comfy, the castles are really worth it and punctuality was not an issue. I didn’t feel the wine tasting was rushed and there was a great explanation done by a local expert.

My wife said this experience was “a trip of a lifetime” – so there you have it! If you’re on a tight timeline and want to see the Loire Valley from Paris, then this is your trip. It was a fast paced day once you arrive in the valley, but the tour guide and bus trip were exceptional. The views are stunning and world-class history lessons come with this tour, so buckle up for a good time. We had booked the ticket with a wine tasting at Chenonceau and it was cancelled before we arrived – not sure how they can do that mid-tour but it happened and we were only refunded $20 (USD). I will say that was our only complaint, but overall this is a remarkable day trip and well worth the money in today’s times.
