I am really glad I bought this packaging. Hobart is a beautiful city and this is the best way to see everything in a relaxing, stress-free way.
The KunayiMt Wellington Tour bus takes you to the top of the mountain even when roads are closed due to snow and ice. The view from the top is amazing. It’s freezing though and the winds are very strong, but definitely worth going. The guide we had was really passionate about his work, and it was very enjoyable having him.
The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a nice, relaxing way to see the city. Sit on the upper deck to get a better view. I used to think it’s just like any other drive around the city, but things look different from a higher angle. It’s also good to listen to the audio guide that gives you the history behind each location.

Me and my wife were ecstatic about this whole trip. We were tremendously fascinated when we saw the snow at Mt. Wellington. The driver/tour guide, deserves nothing but appreciation. He was well equipped in terms of knowledge and his humour is amazing. Indeed, this tour is well recommended

The trip to Mt Wellington was nice. The driver was knowledgeable about the city and the mountain and gave us a lot of information about the area. Make sure to go the the summit in a nice weather. On the day I went up it was cloudy so we couldn’t see the city view. My experience with Hop-on Hop-off bus or the Red Decker was also good, though if you wish to hop off to the important landmarks, you may not be able to finish the tour in one day as the last bus is at 3:30 pm. I think there should be more buses in the afternoon time specially during the summer time as the sunset is very late.

Always use the Red Bus in whatever City in the world we travel as it is the best way to get acquainted with the City before exploring. Would have used again and hopped on and off if the second day wasn’t such terrible weather. We only visited for two days on a Cruise.

Hop-on Hop-off about what you’d expect. Best to do at beginning of vacation. Get off at Botanical Gardens. Lovely and laid back. Trip to Mt Wellington isn’t worth the time or money. Often socked-in with fog on top and bus does not stop at lower levels with good vista’s.

We had a great driver and tour guide- leant a lot about Hobart and the area. We only had a few hours in the City and this – along with the red bus tour was a great way of finding information and viewing the sights. We were3 dropped off near the tour cruise ship – the driver of the red bus couldn’t have been more helpful. A great day for sure.

Great experience. Initially did the Mount Wellington trip – great driver – very informative and friendly chap. Sadly we didn’t get much of a view due to low cloud, but he stopped whenever he could if there was a gap in the clouds.
We then did the total city loop before returning the next day to visit specifics, including the botanical gardens. Good information given and all staff, including the information centre staff, very very helpful. Comfortable buses and really helpful booklet provided.

Although on our day of the tour the visibility was limited due to low cloud cover and we couldn’t see the city and bay, it was still spectacular to be on top of the mountain. The driver was very knowledgeable and provided us with information along the way of every point of interest.

Paul, our guide and driver, interacted vibrantly with us and had a wealth of stories to share about the history of Mount Wellington/Kunayi and its surrounds. Beautifully expansive views of Hobart from the summit on a clear day:) I definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Hobart and are hoping to visit Mount Wellington!

Driver was very friendly and although it was raining in Hobart when we left we still were pointed out the different levels of vegetation, rocks etc on waybup and luckily the skies cleared to have a great view. The driver said it would be cold up at the top and it sure was but added to the whole experience. Totally recommend this trip dven if it is raining.
