We didn’t have much time in Hobart, so thought we would do this where we could get a quick history of Hobart.

  2. Janice_C

Loved the bus drivers and their extensive knowledge of the area and the help getting on and off the bus (middle aged lady here)!
One disappointing thing was firstly the walk that we had to do to actually get on the bus and the second was the actual wait to get on. I realise (or heard through the grapevine) that a bus had broken down but the queue was around the corner and down the street. A few strategically placed bus seats may help

We found this bus tour to be very informative however due to the bus running late, we missed our tour at the Hobart penitentiary and also received a parking fine for returning late. Not a great experience overall.

We booked the 11am tour but received a text the night before that the time has been changed till 12 pm , the bus was then 30 minutes late overbooked and it was freezing, due to the time change we didn’t get to stop at the attractions we had wanted to because of the time and the overbooking

Great way to get a taste of Hobart, while learning a bit about this fascinating city and it’s history.

When ever we go to a new town or country, we always join a bus trip as they are good value and you get a preview of what you may like to see in more detail. We loved seeing all the sites of Hobart., the commentary was very good, our buss driver was very friendly.
He gave us some more tips as to where visit, that we would otherwise not have found out about.
We would highly recommend this tour.

Very easy to purchase tickets, extremely friendly staff and what an amazing experience. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Helpful informative drivers and very friendly . Nothing was rushed so very relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was great – narration was right on! We really enjoyed ourselves. Hobart is a great city and we saw almost everything. Great tour!

The ticket is 40AUD for 24 hours through Viator website. During the booking process it changed to 48 hours and 50AUD, which is worth your while if you stay longer. We didn’t need 48 hours, so we felt we overpaid. You can also buy the ticket on the day at Brooke Street Pier, one of the bus stops.
We enjoyed the 27km tour through Hobart and the commentary about places. Check places are open, some are closed Mon and Tue. Salamanca Market only on Sat. Cascade brewery by prior booking only. I would highly recommend a stop at the Cascade Female Factory but book a tour to make this visit worth your while. The Tasmanian Art Gallery is also very interesting. Close by the Lark Whiskey and gin tasting pub.

It was the great tip ever and I enjoyed the fresh air and the views. The guide explained everything so I am not confused.

Took our granddaughters (10 &7) for a school holiday outing. They were very impressed with the history and just being able to ride on the top of the bus.

  14. Noelene_B

The bus driver was very friendly, helpful and courteous. I loved the ease with which we saw wonderful sights. I can recommend the experience. Noelene

Great way to see all the highlights of Hobart and be given the option of getting off the bus to further explore places of your choice.

  16. Kerrie_T

Great way to get an overall view of the city, so you can then decide what area is of interest to you.

Botanical Gardens. Really lovely display if a wide variety of plantings.
Did not particularly enjoy the Museum and Art Gallery. Art not to our taste.

Went from one end of Hobart to the other, so could have a really good picture of the city. An hour and a half is a good long period. We also went through the CBD.

Incredible experience. My children loved every minute of it. Worth every dollar. Would highly recommend.
