Robert our guide was amazing. He is worth his weight in gold. His knowledge of the aboriginal people and their culture made this trip not just a look and see but an education journey. For a German immigrant he has learnt so much by living in the top end and amongst the first nation people to be able to share all the stories he knew. Robert bent over backwards for all our needs. Kathrine Gorge is an incredible rock and river formation. It felt like a really special place. The information for the river cruise is really very clever and funny. I was very lucky to see some freshwater crocodiles. Great journey getting there from Darwin with our gorgeous and informative driver. Quick dip in Edith falls was so refreshing and a great encounter with a baby brown snake and great bower birds. It is a few hours from Darwin but is totally worth the trip. Plenty of stops on the way and scenery is fabulous.

The trip was long but because Robert was able to talk to us with interesting facts throughout the trip, the day seemed to go by relatively quickly.
