Chizuru was an amazing guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and excited to show us all around the izakayas. We had such a fun time, even with the jet lag! The restaurants she took us too were unique and would be hard to discover as a local. The food was delicious and there was a great selection of alcohol. Chizuru also told us lots about the culture and had lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip. I will recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Fun tour with our guide Joe who had us all trying a range of Japanese cuisine – sashimi, okonomiyaki and many other delicacies, accompanied by different sakes. We learnt about the food but also the Golden Gai and Kubuchiko areas of Tokyo and little things about day to day life in Japan.

Joe was an excellent and congenial tour guide and host. It really felt as though we were on a walk with old friends exploring a new city and tasting the best foods it had to offer. My advice would be to book this tour at the beginning of your trip as Joe gives many recommendations for other restaurants and places to go outside of the tour. We had a fantastic time and will be recommending this tour and Joe specifically to friends planning to visit Japan.
