This tour was amazing. First we visited Castelbuono. A hidden jewel for sure. It was like being set back in time. The trash is picked up by donkey! The town is adorable and looks like Tuscany.Cefalu is so beautiful! The chairs are about 25Euros for 2 chairs. It’s worth it. Bring your own towels. The sand is soft and the water so clear and blue. I loved the private tour! Bring your swimsuits as you want to enjoy that water!

What an amazing day with Umberto touring the island of Sicily. We visited Castelbuono and it was delightful. We highly recommend this tour. The village was charming quiet peaceful and not very crowded. We had an amazing lunch specially prepared for us. What an experience! Umberto was a great guide and enjoyed his time immensely.

Our guide was Humberto, he showed around the town. Then he brought us to a restaurant. Vincenzo was a cook. He made us sandwiches, appetizers, and coke & wine. We ate a tiny balcony overlooking the village. Humberto was great. I didn’t care for Cefalu!

We wish we had the option to go with a group tour when we booked with Viator. We could not find one and had no choice but to book the costly so called private tour. We are disappointed with Viator and will not book future tours with Viator. It was expected to be a fully guided tour but we did not get that fully guided tour. There were places we visited where we were left to explore on our own and at Segesta we were hooked on to another group without our tour guide cum driver. Clearly not what we paid for!

Een prima gids/chauffeur, die goed Engels sprak. Hij liet ons kennis maken met de cultuur en de lokale mensen die ons de producten van het land lieten proeven. Ook liet hij ons de kathedraal van Cefalu zien en vertelde hoe die tot stand was gekomen. (sage).

We did a private tour with our guide Umberto. The first visit was in a small town Castelbuono. Quiet, small and very interesting town located 1:30 hs from Palermo. The Castle in this City is an amazing old build with a very beautiful private Church. Umberto knows much about the history of the city and the Castle. The second place was Cefalù. Beautiful beach city with amazing small stores and many restaurants with sea view. Umberto indicate a very good restaurant with sea view, very good food and no expensive. After we finalize the tour visiting the beautiful Catedral.

Every part of the experience was wonderful, from pickup to drop off. Umberto was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the culture and history of the area, adaptable, and went out of his way to be sure that we got the most from our day. Umberto was great! This was a great day trip to see more of Sicily while staying in Palermo. Castelbuono ended up being our favorite even though we hadn’t heard of it prior to the trip – such a wonderful village with rich history! Highly recommend.

La mia guida nonché autista si è presentato in perfetto orario davanti al mio hotel per cominciare la gita . Siamo quindi partiti per la nostra prima metà del tour ossia Castelbuono e durante il viaggio l’autista mi ha detto un sacco di cose interessanti su Palermo e sui suoi dintorni . Castelbuono merita una visita già solo per il castello con la magnifica cappella del sabato con gli stucchi dei fratelli Serpotta . Altra esperienza indimenticabile la degustazione dei famosissimi dolci della premiata pasticceria Fiasconaro i cui prodotti sono stati gustati dal Papa in Vaticano ed addirittura nello ….spazio a bordo dello Space Shuttle .
Squisito uno dei fratelli titolari del bar omonimo che ci ha addirittura offerto sia o caffè che la il cornetto di sfogliatella al ripieno di crema di nocciole e pistacchio .
Ci siamo in seguito diretti alla splendida cittadina sul mare di Cefalù dove ho potuto ammirare al museo Mandralisca anche il famoso ed enigmatico capolavoro di Antonio da Messina : ritratto di un uomo con il suo sorriso che ricorda la Gioconda .
Anche la cattedrale con gli splendidi mosaici merita una visita.
Dopo una pausa pranzo in un buonissimo ristorante consigliatomi dal mio accompagnatore siamo rientrati a Palermo non senza prima aver fatto una sosta a Mondello con la sua famosa spiaggia e le antiche ville in stile Liberty .
Da sottolineare come il mio autista abbia evitato il traffico di Palermo per portarmi in perfetto orario come da mia richiesta in Hotel .
Gita assolutamente da consigliare per cordialità e qualità del servizio .

We all had a great day. Our driver/ guide arrived on time and was courteous and polite from the start. His van was clean and safe and his driving was very good .He explained all aspects of the trip as we went along and his English was excellent.we would highly recommend this trip for a great day excursion.
