Absolutely worth taking the day and spending it on Gozo. Even though its a small island, its different from the main Malta – its green and a still a bit wild.

Excellent trip, good value for money and highly recommended.

This tour delivered all it advertised. There was a lot of traveling between sites and the guide used the time well by giving us a lot of background information so that we could understand and appreciate what we were seeing. Annettes knowledge was comprehensive and fascinating. Everything was organized well and efficiently.
Be aware that any day long trip to multiple sites will involve a good amount of walking over some steep terrain medieval fortifications were usually built on hills.

The only issue I had with this tour was the pick-up process. I was told to meet at 8:30am, but wasn’t actually picked up until 9:10, which made me concerned that I had somehow missed the bus or gone to the wrong spot. Then, after I finally was picked up, there were tours being given in 6 or 7 different languages which is awesome!, but it was very confusing for everyone to figure out where they were supposed to be going according to their language. However, once that was all settled, the tour was awesome. Rita English tour was very sweet and really knew her stuff. We were given plenty of time to see the places we went, and I felt like we saw all of the major highlights of Gozo. Lunch was also decent.

The trip provides hotel pick up. But we were required to go to Hilton Hotel (next door) for the pick up. The scenery of Gozo is very beautiful. We had a short boat trip to see the coastline and the rock. It was the best of the trip. Lunch was not good at all. Great improvement on this is necessary. The guide was great. She gave a detailed narrative of the history of the island, in particular the temple.

The hotel pick up had a lot of problems. We has to wait for about an hour at the ferry terminal for the rest of the group to gather.Although we were promissed a later return we never had it.The prorgame was solid but everything was fast.I believe there are a lot of things more you can see in Gozo.

A very long day over 10 hours visiting the places as described. Lunch was very poor. Utter chaos at the ferry terminal at beginning and end of tour, even to the extent the guide missed the ferry !!, so we were waiting at at Goza in the next ferry with the guide to arrive. Guide was fairly good, although somewhat ambiguous at times with respect to meeting times, there was a lot of confusion in the group. However the tour is quite cheaply priced given the length so it balances out.

Excellent and informative trip. They delivered everything that was promised. Pick up on time and guide was informative

A rather long day but was a good way to visit Gozo and see all the sights – the Temples are good but prefer the ones on mainland Malta
Lunch was very nice and pick up from Valetta worked well

All trips to Gozo are the same and the same tour operator, so forget comparing reviews! They pick you up in one van and then deposit you at the ferry where you are out into groups according to language, then put onto a bus and take. Gozo does a coop so all trips are the same.Getting in the ferry is a study in dysfunction and disorganization. Half our group and tour guide ended up missing our ferry and we had to wait on the other end of the ferry ride where a nice bus driver from the Italian group told us where to wait. From pick up at the hotel to getting on the bus in Gozo was almost 3.5 hours! Walked through the archeological stop on 30 minutes. Got longer time in a “craft market” that sold “locally-handmade” items from from (China), seriously…pashmina scarves that they sell on the street in NYC, Florence, and Paris for 5 bucks that were “real cashmere” for upwards of 30 euros – at least change the tags! The guide took a call while she was telling us about something. We waited, and the food for lunch was HORRIBLE! I ate bread and margarine (you just can’t make this stuff up). I travel a lot, and will only do day tours when there are lots of steps and I do t have a lot of time. I never disappointed because I get it’s a day trip. This time I was not only disappointed, I had to get up at 5:40 am to get to the pick up location on time for an 8:15 pick-up and didn’t see my first stop until after 12:00 noon. Take my advice, do it on your own, it will cost less and take less time.

The tour guide as excellent. Note that this trip visited the temples: not all do so. The trip really started at the north end of the ferry ride to Gozo. There were two trips by different agencies and they did a switcheroo to make sure only one language was required.. which improved the commentary,,,,
    Excellent value.

The itinerary us well orgsnized. The temples are amazing and very well preserved. The coasts are stunning and Victoria so picturesque! the tour guide was kind and fairly knowledgeable. Only negative the included lunch was really poor, a set menu with nothing typical. It would have been better to have some free time to enjoy the great Maltese food.

it was very good, the hole trip was well manged and my tour guide was nice and knowledgeable about the different sites. the best site by far was the Ggantija temples which I wont spoil but the stories about it and the history behind are very interesting. the lunch provide was nice and the other location were interesting too, but the best location next to the Ggantija temples was the liquor store which was an added bonus of the trip, the liquor was some of the best I have ever had. I would recommend this trip to any one who is a history buff.

Great day seeing Gozo but we were rushed through our visit to the Ggantija temples
Trip was done in reverse order due to sailing 1 hour late

  15. Melanie C

Was rushed through the temple and there was too much free time elsewhere, Lunch was good, had a boat ride which was not included which was enjoyable.

This trip was great– you got to see a number of locations in Goza from a quick road side stop to shopping to the villages/ temples.
When it says 7 hours though it means tour– not transportation so it’s actually a 9+ hour day.

We had a spectacular time on the Gozo day trip. The timings were great and our tour guide was amazing and so helpful. Thank you Novak! We never felt rushed and were given the time to explore towns on the island. The 3 course meal was lovely and allowed us to engage with others on the tour.

  18. kenmcrae

Guide was great keeping our group separated from others at the Ggantija ruins.
Very knowledgeable able to answer questions in two languages.

Can recommend this trip no problem. It was well organised, moved along at a brisk pace but still had enough time to enjoy the sights and experiences. Our guide Anna was excellent. The highlight for me was taking the boat through the sea cave and our around the cliff base. At only €4 euro it was an excellent value extra. I also loved seeing the ancient temple and the gorgeous little statues found in its remains. Add in a couple of relaxing, short trips on the ferry, with pick up /drop off to the hotel and a tasty lunch thrown in and what was there not to like? A great value trip!

Nice daytrip with a good guide. Time to enjoy the beautiful island of Gozo and a tasty lunch at Sea Shells.
