Owen was AMAZING. The best tour guide. The caves are incredible and you should definitely do the addition tour with the cave guide and lantern to the deeper parts. Sticky waterfall was even better than we expected – SO COOL! Owen gave us fun facts about the area and was the most accommodating tour guide, would love to tour with him again!

Our tour guide was Nong, who did an amazing job showing us around the Chiang Dao cave, pointing out hidden shapes of animals within the cave walls. He stopped to bring us to a local market and explained each and every item we saw in the market. He helped us communicate with the local vendors and we were able to try foods that we never would have had access to without his help. He also took us to a local Khao Soi restaurant where I had one of the best meals of my life. Last, we visited the sticky waterfall where Nong gave us all the tips on how to climb it with ease. Overall it was such a great day and he made everything effortless on our end. Thank you so much Nong!

I had a blast doing this tour, we paid extra for a guide to bring us through another unlit area of the cave and it was so worth it. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re on the larger side or have knee trouble bending down, certainly not if you’re claustrophobic cos to experience it requires you to crawl through some holes that might be a tight fit.
It was my second time to the waterfall and I would recommend going up and down at least twice to really appreciate it. Bring water booties if you have sensitive feet (there are many small rocks/mud at some points)
My guide was Jackie and he was very friendly and incredibly thorough with his explanations of everything. 10/10 would recommend this tour
