Chiang Mai: Chiang Dao Cave, Den Sali Temple & Waterfall USD 89.86. Experience an exclusive nature tour including Chiang Dao Cave and its Buddhist imagery, Den Sali Temple’s elaborate architecture, and a short trek through a dark green forest to the Bautong Sticky Waterfall..

Join our exclusive nature and cultural tour from Chiang Mai and experience a day full of wonder and beauty. The tour will begin at the magnificent Chiang Dao Cave, a natural wonder that lies amidst the rolling hillsides, about 1.5 hours away from Chiang Mai. As you approach the caves, you will be treated to stunning views of the Doi Chiang Dao mountain range. The cave holds historical significance as it was the resting place for the Burmese soldiers before they attacked Chiang Mai in the mid-1400s AD. You will get to explore the cave’s five public chambers and marvel at the natural formations of stalagmites and stalactites. Delve deeper into the cavern and be awed by the Burmese-style images of the Buddha and numerous shrines. You can also freely explore two of the caves as they are lit with electric lights.

Next, we will take you to the remarkable Den Sali Teak Wood Temple, located north of the city. The temple complex is a stunning example of traditional architecture and houses several structures including an ordination hall, retreat house, meditation hall, monks’ living quarters, and a drum hall, among others.

Finally, we will end the tour at Bautong Sticky Waterfall, where you can climb on the cream-colored limestone rocks and bathe in the cool waters of the pool below. The multi-tiered waterfalls offer a breathtaking sight against the dark green forest. If you’re not up for getting wet, there are a couple of hundred steep stairs you can take to see the various levels of the waterfall. Don’t forget to bring your camera as this is a sight you’ll want to capture.

In the evening, we will head back to Chiang Mai, marking an end to this unforgettable journey. Don’t miss out on this exclusive nature and cultural tour that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

We cannot thank guide Anna and driver Mr Pan enough for the most wonderful day out. We all loved the sights, the delicious foods and their informative and friendly company. A very special thank you to Anna for shepherding our two boys up and down the ‘sticky waterfalls’. This was the highlight of our holiday and wish we had spent more time there.

We had an amazing trip with our guide Maggi and driver Om (I hope I spell all correctly). We felt welcomed and cared from the start of the trip. All was set up comfortably. The temple and the cave were super impressive and sticky waterfall is super fun to climb up. Don’t be intimidated, going up the waterfall is easy and refreshing! The area around waterfall is green, protected from sun and nice to be. We had delicious lunch and fruits afterwards. Overall I think it makes a lot of sense to book this tour with the private guide, as it was very good to be photographed and taken care of while we were climbed up. Big thanks to the organizer company and guide and drive for the experience and the tour is absolutely to recommend!

We had an incredible time on our day trip with Sid and Pon. They were both so incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The drive was beautiful and we really enjoyed all three stops. They gave us plenty of time to wander around and enjoy ourselves and took great videos and pictures of the day that we can now look back on and enjoy. We would 100% book with them again, it was a great day!
