Absolutely seamless. We had a great fellow pick us up – and hand us over to Adrian – who drove us to the train station .. he gave plenty of info , pamphlets etc. great 20 minutes or so in the historic station with a lovely hot chocolate.. nice train trip – better views if you had a window seat. But still great. A stop at the waterfalls For a 10 minute photo opportunity. Then up to Kuranda with clear instructions
One timings and where to go. So a wander around the town with the usual tourist stuff available- then the pickup point to go to the army Duck tour. This was quite good. Great informative driver.. interesting 40 minute trip. Back on the bus… another stroll around Kuranda. Then down to the station for a fabulous scones and tea. Onto the sky rail. Stopped at both places for a walk around. Short tracks. You can be back at the sky rail station in 15 minutes…. Then the last leg. The view from up there is stunning. Very efficient and friendly attendants. Great bus home. Top day

Pick up was good and within the time frame allocated. Driver was knowledgeable and gave us all the necessary information for the duration of our tour. I did the sky rail, the army duck and the train back to Cairns. It was a bit overcast and then misty on the mountain top but that in some respects added to the beauty of the trip. The army duck tour was great and very informative. The time in the Kurunda village was adequate. If travelling on the train try and get a window seat otherwise it’s difficult to get good photos

The Skyrail ride was a great experience, Kurunda is a pure tourist village, with one souvenir shop next to the next – the hiking trails through the rainforest are poorly signposted and misleading (path to the waterfall: 1st sign: 1.3 km, after approx. 1 km comes the next sign: approx. 4.5 km). The ride on the old train is nice, but the seats are assigned if you don’t have a window seat, you can’t see anything. The journey takes 2 hours, the train is of course not air-conditioned and the seats are narrow benches on which 4 people have to sit next to each other. We would have preferred to ride the Skyrail a second time. The train was nice to look at, but nothing more. Army Duck ride was very nice if a bit short.
