Unfortunately the train broke down and struggled the whole way up the range.QR staff handled situation very well. Scenery was fantastic and we had a great meal at the pub once we arrived. We were hoping for more local produced arts, crafts etc at the shops. if your not good with heights dont get on the skyrail

This is a great tour and the scenery is spectacular . One minor gripe. I know that picking up the group members from various hotels is part of the hassle. We were picked up at 7.10 am for a train that left freshwater at 8.50 am . There was much traffic and we made it with 5 mins to spare. Still it was 1 1/2 hours in the bus
I found out later that this train actually departed Cairns station at 8.30 a.m. . Cairns station as about three blocks from where we were staying! It would have been easier to have walked to the station.
