At the beginning we thought it was a guided tour. But it’s not like that. They leave you at the train station and you go your air. At the end of the train journey there is a driver who gives you the option to take you or if you walk a very commercially pleasant walk the town focused on tourism. In the sanctuary of the butterflies we entered alone then a driver picked us up to take us to lunch (lunch is 10), to catch or hug the koala is not real, it is only for tourist’s claim to take a picture for 3 minutes. .. as in other places. The rest of the tour good but there is no guide as such is a driver service that takes you and awaits you by bus.

All the personel were fantastic. The 2 bus drivers (rather guides – Adrian and Adrian) were funny, entertaining, professional. They made every second of the time spent together a joy. Reece, the rainforest guide, is an amazing guy. He knows everything about the forest and the way he presents it is fabolous…

The skyrail, Kuranda village, butterfly sanctuary, and the aboriginal demonstrations were amazing and well worth the visit. The Army Duck was fun, but we had little-to-no time for the koala and wildlife park.
This was not a guided tour but an organised itinerary where you can do your own thing but be back at each transportation time&place. Felt a little rushed to get to each activity but was do-able.
The Scenic Railway on the way home however was not worth it at all. Seating was pre-allocated and had four people per row where it should really only fit three. Only the window seat on one side actually saw any scenic views. One hour and 45 minutes stuck crammed in an oven with no views.
This is no fault of the tour operator, just our experience of the railway itself. I would suggest finding a way to take the skyrail back down instead.
