What started out as an enjoyable day went downhill once we were taken to a small, overcrowded restaurant. They were not prepared for a group. Our tour guide, Giovanna, left us as soon as we were seated which I thought was strange. Perhaps no seat for her or is this how the tour typically ends?  It felt abrupt and we were unable to say a proper goodbye and tip her as we were packed in like sardines.  We did not get pasta dishes served until almost 3pm after waiting well over an hour. Please find another restaurant.
Also there was no opportunity to buy wines at the winery or in town.  It was Sunday and everything was closed.   I know there was a food festival going on that same day but I recommend not even doing this tour on Sundays. Trains not as frequent and all stores shuttered.

The experience wasn’t great. Not well organized, over priced, poor tasting wine, and didn’t learn much from the tour. Very disappointing.

The tour was great, lots of great details about the area, making wine, the grading process and many other interesting points. After the winery we were taken to town for a short walk through a quaint old town with wonderful bakeries. Lunch was also provided and included delicious raviolis. great tour, had a super time. well worth the cost.

Authentic, not a tourist trap. Wonderful host, truly passionate about sharing their lifestyle. Friscati remains unspoiled.

This tour was so much fun!! Having done many wine tours across the USA I can confidently say this was the best winery tour we have ever done. The owners daughter did an honest and amazing job explaining the wine making process, and you could truly tell how passionate she is about her winery. The most interesting part was the caves built by ancient Romans on the property.
The only downside is lunch took 2.5 hours, so don’t plan on staying for that if you have to rush back to Rome for an activity. However the lunch was delicious and it was nice having a leisurely Italian lunch in the countryside.

Amazing! I had such an amazing day with this tour! Both of our tour guides were fantastic! They were passionate about what they were talking about which created such a nice atmosphere! The wine was delicious!!! The food was delightful. One of the best things about it was being able to meet new people on the tour and bind with them over lunch! I went solo and was a little bit nervous, but it was amazing!

We got off the train in Fascati and we’re greeted at the exit sign. Our group was taken by van to the vineyard. Beautiful views of Rome. Paola, family owner, took us around the grounds and we learned about growing grapes and about the vineyards. She was very passionate about the wine. We tried 3 wines and learned what to look for in quantity wines. Later, we were taken into town. Our guide was very bubbly and enthusiastic. She was proud of her hometown. We sampled a local sandwich along with some wine. Later, we went to a charming restaurant and were fed a large lunch which included a cheese and meat plate, 2 tasty pastas, more wine and cookies. I’m sorry I don’t recall the name of our guide who took us around town. She was so much fun. Such a nice day.

What a wonderful way to learn about winemaking and vineyeard, as well as enjoy a brief history and tour of Frascati! Our vineyard host eagerly shared her family’s winemaking story with us, answering our questions and entertaining us with stories about everything from the growing and pruning process to bottling and sampling. We sampled white, red, and sweet wines, as well as enjoyed a small snack in the family’s farmhouse. After the vineyard experience, another guide led us through the city, sharing his childhood experiences growing up there and explaining the city’s history. The tour ended with a fabulous shared meal with our fellow travelers. Highly recommend this tour!

The visit to the winery is good if you get the right guide (we got Paula who was great and knew a lot about wine making, the other group was not so lucky…).
There was a quick city stroll before we went the restaurant where we got a ham plate, bread and some cheap wine. There was no proper lunch. Our guide simply left us in the restaurant before the tour was over.
Not worth it. Get the train in Rome and go to Frascati by yourself.

A most wonderful experience! Easy to get to, a nice break from the city, and two incredible tours in one! The winery was exquisite – beautiful scenery, informative tour, and very good wine! The tour of the town and the lunch was wonderful! Great food, great conversation, great setting. This is a must-do tour when visiting Rome.

Couldn’t recommend this trip enough. We booked last minute as a break from the busy city sightseeing and I’m really glad we did.
The staff, the venue, the wine (definitely the wine). Everything was perfect.
Such a lovely day. Will be sending everyone we know visiting Rome on this trip. X

We had a delightful time at the vineyard. Paola, the vintner, took a lot of time to explain wine making and wine tasting to our group. It was a very enjoyable and educational experience.

Informative, but more important, very tasty wine and great food. The vineyard was awesome. Paola, our guide for city tour was full of life had a real love of Frascati and food.

Buying the train tickets to Frascati was simple, our guides were waiting as soon as we crossed over the track! It rained the day of our tour but that did not stop the fun. Outside we learned all about the history of the wine making house, the grapes grown on site, wandered into the vineyards, and some of the many pages of law on making wine in Italy. Than we went inside where we did our first tasting and learned more about wine making. After a relaxing time tasting 2 additional wines inside we went into the town of Frascati and learned more about the town than we had an appetizer at one place than lunch with wine included. After this it was a short walk to the train station to get back. ONLY reason I give 4 stars is when our guide left at lunch I wasn’t sure what I was eating and also maybe a choice between 2 entrees would be nice. Ours had mushrooms which my husband doesn’t enjoy but he tried it. Definitely a great time if you’re interested in wine!

This tour was one of our favorite days in Italy. We learned so much about wine production and maintaining the grapes specific to Italy. Then had a great tasting and a wonderful lunch.

Paula and her team were welcoming and wonderful! Catching the train from Rome was super easy, vineyard was beautiful as well as the town of Frascati. The experience was informative and relaxing. A great break from the business of Rome!
