Tour guide was 35 minutes late, no explanation, didn’t even introduce himself to me. Actually took food from us, that was part of our package!!!

Inattentive driver, never introduced himself. Multiple cars got stuck in sand during sand bashing, and each time our driver stopped to help, totaling more than one hour. Very heroic of him, but he had customers waiting in the car, bored out of their minds. Company should have dispatched out assistance vehicles for those stuck cars. Some other drivers arrived, saw what was happening and moved on with their customers (good for them – customer first attitude). As it is, we arrived late to the camp, and missed out on all camp activities (camel riding, henna art, Arabic art photos, etc.) other than the dinner and show, which had started when we arrived at the camp. My wife tried to photograph the name tag of our driver for reference, and he refused to let her. After the show, he gathered us at the table, and drove like he had fire under his seat back to the city. When he dropped us off at the hotel, I gave him a courtesy thank-you. He gave me a blank stare. OK, whatever…

Our driver was nice but offered no additional information on what to expect or what was available to do. Apparently, we were early because he drove VERY slowly on the way to the sand dunes without an explanation. Driving the sand dunes was lots of fun! However, we had to keep slowing down because we were last in the car line and the ones in front of us were going slower. The show was nice but the advertisement mentioned being able to dress up in local clothes (not offered) and having dates (not offered). Overall, it was a good time but I would only do it again if I had a friend who was in Dubai for the first time.
