I’ll confess that my friend and I got shut out of a different tour we were interested in taking, but this Bourbon and Derby your turned out to be perfect on all counts!!! Our driver, Juan, was so accommodating and super helpful as we made our way (slowly) through the distillery tours and gift shops. He even took us back to one gift shop so we wouldn’t miss our next tour. He even recommended dishes to have at a restaurant we had reservations for that evening. One of the best, most memorable tours ever!
The only critique I had was in the booking process. It was a little confusing. It’s labeled as Bourbon and Churchill Downs, and I knew CD was an extra charge but thought I had already arranged it. Turns out I didn’t but Juan quickly corrected it for us.

Let me start by saying our driver Juan was AMAZING!
And Marjorie that booked everything and setup our itinerary was also excellent.
However the tours title said Buffalo Trace and Churchill Downs. All the pictures of Churchill Downs showed horses and kids petting them. They texted me to let me know that they didn’t have enough tickets for BT distillery. I was okay with that especially with Covid going on. During this text exchange setting up our itinerary they sent me a picture of 1792 Full Proof award winning bourbon and part of the itinerary said 1792 tasting. When we got to Barton’s for the tasting it wasn’t Full Proof. It was very cheap Old Barton’s, and 1792 Small Batch. During the Churchill Down tour we never saw a horse anywhere.
Overall we made the most of our tour but it was nothing like advertised.

Churchill Downs was great, the tour guy was very informative and interesting to listen to. We were Picked up our hotel and the driver was very helpful.

    The tour guide was awesome!
But my experience with the company I booked my tour was not very pleasant.
If booking with this company make sure you have no other plans and don’t fall in love with your itinerary because they can’t garante anything they say.
When I booked we’re supposed to go to Churchill downs at 9:00 am then to Woodford distillery, then to Buffalo trace but instead they changed everything to the afternoon then when I called they changed it back to the morning now starting at 8:00 am and changed distilleries!!! They were not bad but not what I paid for.

The distillery tour was awesome. Construction going on at Churchill Downs. Hard to hear the tour guide. Could doend more time at both places.
Our driver was great. Polite and friendly

Recommend to any bourbon lover… My wife and I’s first time in Louisville and the multiple distillery tour was amazing! Will be back, in fact I am looking through the tours now to book again

  8. Doug

    Churchill Downs was impressive.
Learned a lot about previous winners and how they are cared for.
Bourbon tour was very tasty and interesting.

  9. Scott_D

    Makers Mark and willet distilleries
Our driver was wonderful.. little Cuban girl. I forget her name and apologize but she was terrific

  10. Jenny_C

The driver for the tour was absolutely nice and very polite.
However this tour was over priced at $478 for two persons. The Derby entry was a $17/per person fee and $12/per person for the bourbon tasting (included in the $478). We could have just ordered our own Uber and saved a couple of hundred dollars

Had a really bad experience. We booked this for Churchill downs and Bulleit bourbon tour and tasting. I had requested that we only need tasting for one person as my wife was not in a position to drink and that she is only looking to do the tour. I was told that is not possible and we need to do both do the tasting as well if we want to do the tour. This was okay if we at least got to do the tour. But when we reached Bulleit we were told that the tour was never available due to scheduled maintenance.
We wasted 4 hours and my wife literally did nothing but accompany me. For which they say alright we will refund the tour price in Bulleit – Really? We would have never done the tour if we knew the distillery tour was not there. Please don’t trust these guys they don’t know what is happening.

Our driver Onel was excellent. We did have an issue at four roses but it was nothing to do with the tour and more to do with an Review now issue that forced us to stay longer and we missed the tour at bulleit because of it. Otherwise everything was great

  13. Lauren_E

Very much enjoyed all parts of the tour. Churchill Downs was very informative and they had a special exhibit on the Secretariat. Makers mark was a little ways away but so worth going to .. the tour was very thorough and the art was amazing . Obviously bourbon was good too !

Great trip with the sweetest guide Georg. Highly recommended. Very prompt and thoughtful, we navigated Churchill which was a little boring but the distilleries were fun. Máje sure to have at least 2. You can add that extra one on. Buffalo Trace was historic but a lot of talking on the outside of the distillery looking up. Their tasting was not as long with the smallest sample. Whiskey Thief gave you a cool feel to the tasting dirt fly out of the barrel. All is all wonderful.
