we had a great time, the views we’re well worth the early trek, our taxi driver (Abut), went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, he was always on time and always had a smile to share, picked up from the porch of our hotel, air conditioned taxi vehicle and drove us to all other different locations including the hot springs and a lovely coffee plantation, overall the whole day was wonderful, made special by everyone, all the other tourists that we met along the way ,our tour guide that led us up the mountain and especially our taxi driver Abut.

An amazing and unforgettable experience you must do when in Bali. The entire experience was well planned and organised. I was picked up directly from my hotel in Ubud by Eri who was a fantastic driver and guide and I had some wonderful conversations with him to and from the volcano. The trek up the volcano is exciting and slightly difficult if you are not used to hiking. Listen to your guides and step where they step! Take a warm jumper as it is freezing at the top – but the views and energy are indescribable and worth every slippery step up. The steam coming from the crater will warm your soul (and cook your eggs for breakfast!). Taking in all the energy that Mount Batur provides is something else and stays with you for long after your trek. The descent down was even more exhilarating than going up. And walking through the beautiful village and saying hello to the wonderful people filled my cup to the top. Do it, you won’t regret it!

We had a brilliant day, definitely the highlight so far on our trip! Dek Wan our driver and guide was brilliant-contacting us before the trip and so lovely throughout the day-really made the whole day very enjoyable and answered any questions we had.
Our guide on the mountain, Lou, was so helpful-especially on the way down! We were treated to such a gorgeous sunrise and the hot springs were the perfect way to relax afterwards! What a lovely day!
