What an experience. Very minute they have you doing something different and fun! A ton of fun, a lot of adventure. Plus the tour guides are awesome!! I lucked out and had Jiño who was AMAZING but all of the guides were helpful, fun and great photographers! Highly recommend doing this excursion!!

The dune bashing was fun! Good food, sand surfing, henna, camel riding (in a circle), camel farm. The only complaint was the belly dancing. It was very provocative, not appropriate for a family activity. I’ve seen plenty of belly dancing and this was very uncomfortable to watch.

Dune bashing was super fun, even if I felt a bit sick during the ride. It was also cool to walk and jump in the soft sand. After the ride we got to see some camels and gathered with other groups to an outside building where you could try arabic costumes, get a henna tattoo, taste some arabic coffee, go for a camel or an ATV-drive. We had dinner and watch a belly and tanoura dance. Even all this was made for tourists, the atmosphere was good and relaxed. There was enough time to check out things and enjoy the sunset. Also all activities were included in the safari, which was nice.

An amazing evening desert safari experience with dune bashing, BBQ dinner, show, and more. The dune bashing is a thrilling (and safe) experience — drive through the open desert ‘surfing’ the sand dunes in a Land Cruiser. After dune bashing, visit a camel farm and then spend a few hours at a desert oasis with camel riding, sand surfing, and other activities followed by a show and an excellent BBQ dinner. All around fun! Abdul Rasheed was an AWESOME guide! He ensured a fun, safe, and overall extremely enjoyable evening. The informal tour on the way back to our hotel was a bonus. Definitely a ‘must do’ experience while in Abu Dhabi — and request Abdul!

We’ve been fortunate enough to have taken this desert safari a few times now to entertain guests and we always have a great time! Our driver was skilled and kept us safe although we have had guides that have taken the time to take incredible pictures of us and we missed that aspect this time around. My only complaint would be the 2 hour waiting time at the camp, if you choose not to pay for the additional desert activities, until dinner is served. During that time only tea/coffee/water are served. Would love it if soft drinks and shisha were available during that 2 hour window for guests at the camp considering the price per person for the tour.

We opted to do Evening Desert Safari from Abu Dhabi. Just shy of 1 hour on a state road, 40 minutes on paved street, less than 15 minutes on a dirt road to arrive at a camp. Since we opted NOT to do Dune Bashing (not recommended for a person with back issues), 3 of us arrived at a Camp ahead of the other groups. Camel ride, Henna tattoo, a Falcon guy, plenty to keep us busy before BBQ. Since our vist was during Ramadan, we were not expecting the entertainment but we were pleasantly surprised. Desert Safari was packed with fun moments. Highly recommend.
